01. Damn allergies. Sneezing and coughing most certainly weren't on my list of things to expect at the end of the week, let alone continuing into the weekend. Speaking of which, OMGWTF it's freaking RAINING?! When exactly did this happen, why exactly am I surprised about it? and why am I in this handbasket? I know the saying of "April showers brings May flowers" but dammit, I bought really cute spring clothes and I wanted to wear them, not stash them away. I wanted to buy some fresh fruit too but, because of the crappy weather, they aren't ripe or good enough yet. That bites. I want fresh-smelling, delicious strawberries, watermelon and cantaloupe.
02. Do you know what time it is? That's right, it's multi-fandom review time! Whoo-hoo.
House M.D. - 3.19 - "Act Your Age"
All I have to say is: House/Cuddy/Wilson = FTW!! Without going into much detail, this was probably the funniest episode I've seen, and the whole triangle with House sending flowers to Wilson claiming that Cuddy sent them making Wilson freaking out and running around thinking that Cuddy likes likes him and...oh, it was just beautiful. The "Seriously?" conversations between House and Wilson made me giggly, as well as the last scene in House's office. Hee! That last shot with House and Cuddy watching the patient's leave and him mentioning the play, her perplexed expression was priceless.
The Chase and Cameron dilemma though, I don't know where I stand on this. I would really like Cameron to get over herself and just stay with Chase inside a relationship, then again I am really enjoying their friends with benefits deal. They're colleagues, they havefriendly secretly hot steamy sex together but aren't emotionally involved...or so we think. I personally think that Cameron does like Chase, but doesn't want to get emotionally attached because of what happened in her previous (or many) relationships. Oh, and her pulling the "dead husband" guilt card line on the patient's father? NOT COOL. But of course, it's Cameron, she always does shit like that. Back with her and Chase though, I know the writers are toying with this because the two actors are together in real life, but sometimes there is such overdoing it that it becomes old fast. In short, I completely support the Chase/Cameron direction, because it's hot.
The actual storyline of the episode though, was realistically scary. Six-year-old girl getting her period...sadly, this is becoming not that uncommon for the next generation, as some younger girls are beginning their menstrual cycle earlier and earlier. Possibly from the hormones in foods or whatever.
But of course, this being House there has got to be somethng unusual behind it. Young girl gets her monthly years in advance, young eight-year-old brother is rising in testosterone and having hormonal horny teen-syndrome where he hits on Cameron, becomes uber jealous of Chase and bits him on the arm, and all because their father is using erection dysfunction medication. Ah, just another typical Gregory House medical case. This episode was almost like high school drama in ways, but more fun and hilarious without the angst.
Stargate Atlantis - 3.12 - "Echoes"
Okay, I don't reguarly watch this show, however I do like several characters and find it pretty entertaining. But it's not something I view religiously like most of my other fandoms. I just keep track of what's happening through the SGA fandom, and through my sister who is practically attached by the hip to this show, so I do know what's going on.
In a short recap, there's Ancient!Ghosts but...aren't really ghosts, nor hallucinations. And Whales that technially aren't whales, but enough to be whale-like to what we're used to (and they're HUGE), that are apparently sending the non!hallucinations to the people on Atlantis, a way of projection the ancients had once tried to understand the whale's way of communication. The warning is of a solar flare from the sun that would fry the planet within hours. The people on Atlantis are continuing to see the images of the Ancients, getting headaches and falling ill, and even dying. But all is okay! Sheppard has found a plan, McKay is freaking out over it but all is all right in the end.
Favorite parts: Rodney naming his whale friend, John and Rodney having shouting matches, John mocking Rodney, as usual, and calling him Meredith, and Ronon falling asleep while meditating. Loved Teyla, as usual (she's my favorite character FYI to anyone wondering), and there really should be a place where we can list the many amazing outfits she wears because seriously, I want her wardrobe. The interaction scenes between her and Ronon were incredible and sweet, especially when Ronon was being all supportive when she was ill in the hospital bed. Of course, Ronon himself. Mmm, Ronon....
Yeah, it was fun and hilarious, and I liked it.
03. I totally missed TSL's The Suite Life Goes To Hollywood episode last night! But that doesn't matter, it's rerunning tonight and knowing DC they'll be milking that episode until people are sick of it. Also, what is with Hollywood-themed episodes in my fandoms lately? Is it Hollywood Sweeps Month or something? Very odd, if a little freaky.
