Fandom Snowflake Challenge: Day 9
Feb. 2nd, 2022 02:50 amDay Nine: In your own space, list your Fandom Wrap categories.
What are your top five fandoms for 2021 based on the amount of time you interacted with them?
01. Word of Honor
02. Heaven Official's Blessing
03. Prince of Tennis
04. Dune
05. The Expanse
What are your top five fandom spaces in terms of time spent? (AO3, Twitter, Tumblr, Reddit, Dreamwidth, and others)
01. Tumblr
02. LiveJournal
03. Dreamwidth
What are the top five ways you interacted in these fandoms? (Reading fanfic, writing, commenting, watching videos, chatting with friends, making art, or anything else you can think of).
01. Reblogging on Tumblr (gifsets, photosets, fanart, etc.)
02. When it came to the cdrama/cnovel side of fandom, I went down the rabbit hole of watching a lot of video compilations on YouTube (would be incredibly lucky to find ones that were subtitled in English) and fanvids of certain cdramas and the like. I'm a mere lurker in general for fandom stuff, but it's interesting when you find fandoms from other countries and seeing the mixture of international interest with these things, especially when it comes to translations and the like.
03. Fanfiction is always being read, of course; I don't always comment but I kudos on AO3.
04. Making posts on LJ reviewing or just talking about my fandoms and commenting whenever I can with my flist
What are the top five things you did to contribute to fandom in terms of time? Did you write? Comment? Send positive energy into the universe? Create art?
Mostly write posts here on LJ and comment with fellow flisters.
What things did you create that took the most time?
Anytime I write a post here on my journal definitely takes a lot of time, since I like to be coherent with what I post I always have ideas of what to write about, it's the matter of how to make it eloquent enough to make sense. A detailed review for something I've been watching, fandom memes, any kind of prompts, anything of that nature definitely takes the most time because I'm always thinking about what to say, how to say it, how it comes across when written, how it's formatted, making sure it's not too long and repetitive but also not too short that it doesn't convey my thoughts, etc.

Date: 2022-02-04 02:54 pm (UTC)Same. I know, tumblr isn't that famous anymore, but I like it there. I can share/reblog nice and pretty pictures and gif-sets. It's always good to go back. ^___^

Date: 2022-02-04 07:36 pm (UTC)Same, although apparently there's been some "resurgence" as labeled by some articles and it's like no, we like that nobody knows or cares about that place. Yes, the censorship nonsense and whatever Tumblr did with trying to purify things to appease Apple was bad and horrible and that did drive away a lot of good/amazing people, but I prefer it there for a lot of fandom activity. I've been introduced to a lot of newer fandoms over the years there simply from following the right people that I wouldn't have otherwise known about. Plus, I like looking at the pretty over there. It's just great. :)
