I'm probably not going to do the entire meme since I've found it repetitive every year, but I think this particular challenge is a good starting point for the new year:

Day One: In your own space, update your fandom information!

I've been heavily into a lot of Asian dramas lately, particularly cdramas, as I'm sure most can probably tell. It started in 2020 when I got into The Untamed and it kind of spiraled from there with making a lot of discoveries of different kinds of shows, most of them by pure accident either based on the descriptions (which oftentimes are wild and it makes you very curious) or because an actor I ended up liking is in it and I want to check it out, or both. My main ones lately are The Untamed, Heaven Official's Blessing, Word of Honor, and Prince of Tennis, but of course I've been watching a lot of others too, with even more queued up. It's been a long time since I delved into Asian dramas, I started watching some back in the early 00s with a few here and there, but these days there's more availability than there used to be, some more easily accessible than others but still viewable nonetheless, so in a way I'm kind of playing catch-up.

At the moment the dramas I'm in the middle of watching are: Ancient Detective, Detective Samoyeds, Go Princess Go, and Legend of Yunxi.

As for non-Asian fandoms, The Expanse has been on my mind lately since we're in the last season now, almost nearing the very end. Euphoria which is about to start its second season, watching TTRPG series such as Critical Role and Dimension 20 content, the Dune Chronicles because those books are weird and I love them so much, and of course I'm still very deep in my older fandoms (Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Battlestar Galactica, Harry Potter, etc) because I never really left them. I just go on rotation every so often between newer and older fandoms. So that hasn't changed. I often revisit older fandoms, which is something I did towards the end of 2021 with some of the older, less talked about shows I watched years ago. So even if you're not into the newer fandoms I'm into but we connected through fandoms of the past, I'm still absolutely down to talk about them regardless.

And of course, my Tumblr is always a place to see what fandoms I'm currently hyperfixating on.

I watched a lot of Asian Dramas when I was into Asian music, but I stopped watching them after my brother's death because I didn't have the strength and concentration for watching them in japanese/chinese/korean and reading the english subtitles. But I always wanted to go back into dramas but my to-watch-list is insane, seriously. T_T
