++ Also, captandor is hosting friending meme to ring in the New Year. There haven't been many friending memes lately, and if you're someone who is fannish this is perfect for finding more fandom-oriented friends.

++ Like before, I will be participating in the Fandom Snowflake Challenge. I discovered it last year when I saw others doing it and thought that it was a neat little fandom challenge, especially since there is no deadline for answering the questions so you could go at your leisure, which I find to be very nice. I'm excited to do it again this year because I had a lot of fun completing the questions I wanted to answer last time. I wish there were more of these kinds of fandom participation challenges, ones that didn't really require artistic or writing skill but just some kind of writing meme to answer. I like those kinds of prompts very much.

++ It's finally been announced that season two of The Punisher will premiere on January 18th. It is most likely to be its last season, judging from how Netflix has been handling its Marvel shows, cancelling them left and right without warning. Though perhaps not? I don't know, I've been hearing conflicting things about how The Punisher premiered after negotiations/contracts with the other shows, so it might be safe. But if that's the case, what's stopping the other characters from making cameos? Or other characters, like Elektra, having her own series? Idk, we'll have to wait and see what happens. But I'm not holding my breath.... :/

I just feel bad because now that I'm finally adding more fannish people, I actually haven't been writing that much in the way of fandom. So I'm hoping Snowflake Challenge will help! I think I'm just a bit rusty. I kind of threw in the towel when it came to bothering with fandom stuff a while back, and am slowly gathering the towels from where I left them.

I remember having fun with the questions last year, too.

I saw the meme earlier, but I'm so bad at commenting and even worse at replying to comments lately.

My thought process on The Punisher S2 was very similar. At first, I was happy, but then remembered that this is probably the last season anyway. I read that The Punisher is a special case and that Disney could produce another season right away if Netflix cancels it (in opposite to the other shows which have a two-year waiting period). Not sure if that might also mean it is more likely to get renewed by Netflix.

The way Netflix is treating The Punisher doesn't make me hopeful. They only announce the release date 3 weeks early and there's no real trailer yet etc. Like I said before,the cancellation is already decided,they just don't want to announce it before the second season is released!

I know. *sigh* It makes me very angry with Netflix knowing that this is probably going to happen, because they're so predictable now. I still hope people are going to watch it though, regardless whether they instinctively know what's gonna happen after.

Yeah, I found it very weird that we still haven't gotten an official trailer for the new season yet. They should have released one back in December, at least a teaser, but they didn't. And I think you're right, they already have decided to cancel it (and Jessica Jones), they're just waiting until their seasons drop before dropping that particular announcement. Ugh. I mean, I guess I understand, but at the same time why even bother when we know what's gonna happen anyway? idk.

I think many are just waiting to see what happens with The Punisher, because there have been conflicting reports on whether or not it will be affected as the other shows have been. Either way, it's still really shitty that this even has to be a thing now, because it shows how incompetent Netflix is and how they are so trigger happy with cancelling shows.

I'm sure you'll get back into the swing of things regarding fandom posts. While I've always been part of fandom in different ways, I am still trying to write-up some reviews for things that I've seen a little while ago. And sometimes I need a little booster like a fandom meme to get the gears going again with motivation of finishing them up.
