++ There is a behind-the-scenes look at Wolverine: The Long Night where Richard Armitage talks about the project and there is footage of what the filming of the audio process was like, which surprisingly was a little more interactive and mobile than you'd think when it comes to podcast productions. I'm fascinated by that, because you allow actors more ways of creating a more convincing performance if they're able to move about, and seeing brief glimpses of Richard basically get really into the moment with the scenes is so great, which makes me excited to listen to this podcast. Also, I feel like this is just one step away from him becoming involved in video games somehow. I don't know why, but I have a feeling, based on his voice work for audiobooks, animation and now a podcast series, doing voice acting and even motion capture for video games would be the next thing he could do to continue doing something new with his career.

++ Agents of SHIELD just recently had their 100th episode, which in celebration the fandom has been created a lot of fanwork to show their love, some of them are fanvideos which I want to share one in particular that made me super happy. It's of Daisy Johnson (my favorite ❤) and her growth since the beginning of the show. It does features spoilers, but it all happens so fast since it is a quick overview of her character story over the course of the series, and it's so well done.

And without giving any spoilers, I have to say that the show continues to be absolutely amazing. They're in their fifth season and it is absolutely solid, so different from the previous seasons and yet still remains true to its core especially regarding the characters and their individual journeys that they've been on from the beginning. I've been enjoying the ride immensely.

++ Speaking of Marvel, with everything surrounding Avengers: Infinity War I find myself just not really caring that much? I think when it comes right down to it, I'm more of a casual watcher of superhero movies than most, meaning that I won't go see every single one in the theater, or at all, unless it actually interests me or it's something I'm genuinely excited to see. Also, the concept of having so many characters in one movie is a bit too overwhelming for me, personally, because even know Marvel has been building this up for a while I also know considering the time constraint on movies in general all of these characters won't get the equal amount of screentime, which bothers me since even movies that have a smaller ensemble can't even utilize that amount screentime for everyone. I don't think it's superhero fatigue, because I love certain movies that have come out recently and I really enjoy particular superhero television shows. I don't know, I'm just not feeling the hype. And perhaps that's the issue, there is a lot of hype surrounding these huge superhero films (both Marvel and DC, respectively) that I find myself not really caring unless it's something I'm really looking forward to seeing, or waiting until all of that hype quiets down before seeing it myself without any other outside influence. Does that make sense?

I'm with you on Infinity War. I am not a huge superhero film fan, and generally only get into them when they're making fun of themselves, like Thor: Ragnarok or the GOTG films.

So basically I'm only here for Nebula and my Karen Gillan obsession. *whistles*

I get what you mean about Infinity War. I’m looking forward to it but I hope that by having all these big characters together won’t ruin it too much, you know?

I was a little underwhelmed by Aos' 100th episode. Maybe my expectations were too high since a lot of shows I watch had great milestone episodes.

There is no way that Infinity War can live up to the hype that Marvel themselves build up. Every MCU movie until now has worked towards it. The movie can only be disappointing in that respect. Having said that, I don't really care that much, MCU villains are always pretty underwhelming. I'm mostly looking forward to different characters meeting for the first time :D
Tony and Doctor Strange, Thor and the Guardians...I liked that about Civil War and Ragnarok.

Right there with you about "Infinity War". For me the interesting things are the storylines and the character development. If you put 80000 characters in a movie, of course you're going to give them 5 minutes of storyline for each one and that's just a big mess, IMO.

Yeah, exactly. It works in comic book form because they're able to do whatever with how many characters spanning several issues and it makes sense, but it doesn't work the same way when translating it onto the big screen in a singular film. I understand that the MCU has been working to get to this point, connecting throughout all their films, which is impressive for all the planning ahead and everything, but I doubt that it'll be cohesive enough with everyone featured. I feel like this is something that should be worth expanding throughout several films instead of one with all these characters together, y'know? I know that it's not going to be a masterpiece or anything, it's built to be entertainment and that's it, but even so imagine that you have a favorite character featured but they only get, like a few minutes of screentime and hardly interact with anyone else. That would be a huge bummer, imho.

This is why I prefer television series when it comes to superhero stories, because there is more room for exploration of storylines and showing character development that cannot be achieved in a movie. Those are the kinds of stories that attract me the most, and even if they are featured in a film it doesn't get nearly the same kind of development the characters deserve.

I didn't really have any expectations when it came to the 100th episode (since I've learned from past experiences with other shows to not expect much even when it comes to milestones like this), but I enjoyed it for what it was.

Yeah, I know the movie isn't going to be a masterpiece or anything and it's mostly to just get some of these characters together who haven't met yet to interact with one another. That's basically the only appeal I think for most people. Well, that and wanting to know who will survive the movie....

Yeah, I kind of feel like it sounds fun and exciting to bring all these characters together in theory, but in reality it might not exactly work in the way we hope for. Some characters will most likely overshadow others, some might not get the appropriate amount of screentime or even interact with anyone at all, etc. It's like a recipe designed to be a mess in that sense. An entertaining mess, but still a mess nonetheless.

I love superhero stories, but the movies can be touch and go for me depending on whether it's something that captures my interest. I think I'm not that fond of the common formula often used in most of them, which is why whenever one comes along that breaks that particular mold I'm all in.

You're very welcome! :D And yes, this season has been so good. AOS just manages to get better and better with each season, and it's a shame that it's constantly overlooked.

I want to see Infinity War as soon as possible, purely to see all these characters together.

I think it's not totally sustainable though like, once the war is all said and done, either everyone agrees to go their separate ways or a lot of folks have to die lol

Yeah, those are my thoughts as well. It's kind of impossible of having all of these characters together in one movie and not have someone die. Granted, nobody in the superhero comic book universe is truly "dead"-dead, but I know that some of the actors are thinking of wanting to retire their roles at some point in the near future and if they want to go out with a big bang, this would be the movie to do it.

Honestly, I don't have any expectations for it. I feel like for the most part it'll be entertaining to see all these characters meeting and interacting with each other, but other than that, plot-wise, idk.

I feel like that's probably the main reason most are going to be seeing this movie, as well. Just to see all the characters together in a single movie, some meeting each other for the first time and seeing the different interactions and such.

I feel the same way about Infinity War. For one thing, I'd like to have a little more time to enjoy the way Thor Ragnarok and Black Panther left things before Marvel undoubtedly decimates it all, but for another... I just don't care a whole lot. It seems like it's going to be really messy.

Yeah. I mean, I understand and I respect the MCU for planning all of this out over the years to reach this point, but honestly having all these characters together in a single movie? The concept sounds better on paper than probably in reality, since it seems rather excessive especially for a single movie. The characters will most likely overshadow any kind of plot development that'll be happening, that's for sure. Though I've seen some be concerned about the fates of certain characters more than anything, so that'll be interesting to see the outcome for that, at least.

When it comes to superhero movies in general, most of them aren't on my radar unless it's something I genuinely want to see or it's after the fact.

It really has been! Which is no surprise honestly, the show has just been doing so well and S5 has been very different but so good. It's a shame that, even with five solid and strong seasons, it still doesn't receive nearly enough attention or recognition it deserves, though, imho.

I was so behind on AoS but I'm so glad I caught up cause Agents in Space was basically my most favorite thing!

I'll probably go see Avengers: Infinity War but I feel meh about it. I also prefer the ones that focus more one character instead of giving everyone just five seconds which mostly leaves me unsatisfied.

It never ceases to amaze me how AOS can just continue to impress me with each season.

Yeah, I think that is my main problem with movies like this. It's an interesting concept to bring in all these characters, and that is probably the main reason why many avid fans are excited to see it because hey, their favs are going to interact with each other when they haven't before! But after all of that initial excitement fades away, what else is there? Like, I want to see growth and development, I want to see things move along with characters and their arcs, how will this be in future films with their individual movies, etc. It's one of those things where it looks good on paper but on screen it'll probably be a disaster. An entertaining one, but still a disaster in terms of how many characters there are and how little screentime they'll have with each other.

IDK, I know that I'm judging without having seen the film yet, but just thinking about how many characters there will be in a limited amount of time is just too overwhelming for me. I feel like this would've been more appropriate if Infinity War was, like a franchise all on its own within the MCU where it could utilize all these characters on the screen together.

I think Armitage is gonna dip his toe in every area of entertainment media. He seems to have the talent for it too.

I haven't watched the latest season of AoS, but just hopping in to say Daisy is my favorite too. (Though I still think of her as Skye)

He's such a talented versatile actor, it honestly wouldn't surprise me if the tried all forms of entertainment mediums at least once.

I think you'll enjoy the current season of AOS, it's just so good. :) And I've adored Daisy from the beginning, and I've loved seeing her character journey as the show has gone on.
