What is your favorite video game that you've played so far/what the game you most want to play?

Since it's been my current obsession as of late, LEGO Hobbit is definitely my favorite so far. I was pretty much addicted to that for months, and I highly recommend any of the LEGO games to everyone. They're adorable, fun games to play. ♥

I actually recently just received some video games for my birthday that I've always wanted to try out! I now have Skyrim, the new Tomb Raider, and Minecraft. They're all for the Xbox 360 since I have no other console, but I really really excited to get to play them. I'm also a frequent follower of some YouTube gamers who have played some interesting looking games that I would like to try out in the future.

LEGO games are so addictive! I did manage to get 100% and every achievement on LEGO Harry Potter. I got through the main game of LotR but haven't gone back to collect all the things. I also have the LEGO Batman games I need to work through.

I enjoyed Tomb Raider a lot but I've been a Tomb Raider player since I was a kid, it was one of my first games. Tim adores Skyrim but it was too sandboxy for me LOL. And I get overwhelmed just thinking about Minecraft.

It's really fun. I liked the LOTR Lego game, but I much enjoyed this one a bit better. :)

I always feel so accomplished when I get 100% achievement on the LEGO games. :D

I don't think we finished LEGO LOTR simply because we put it off for so long since there were certain parts that I couldn't figure out for the life of me. And then we got the Hobbit LEGO game and that kind of consumed most of my time, lol. We'll probably get back to the LOTR game eventually.

Not counting the NES games I played as a kid, Tomb Raider was also my very first gaming experience from childhood. I hadn't played any of the other ones prior though, however hearing so many good things about the new game (and seeing all the improvements to the character design) makes me really excited to finally get to play her again. I know Skyrim will be kind of spread out for me because of how MASSIVE the game is, like hundreds and hundreds of hours to waste (my sister bought me the huge guide book for it too, like over a thousand pages worth of information about the game O_o). But I can tell I'm going to really enjoy playing around with that world, figuring things out as I go along. :)

I'm actually pretty ambivalent towards the LEGO games. They're all pretty solid, fun games in of themselves but they don't really very much between games, so it does get a little repetitive.

Minecraft is the ultimate sandbox game. Like, more so than Skyrim because you're still subject to the environment that you're in, there's vague RPG elements that you're bound to and some of the quests you kind of have to do if you don't want to be plagued by problem X all the time. Whereas in Minecraft, there isn't a set goal once you get beyond the initial survival portion. Incidentally, it's excellent as a solo game, but multiplayer is a lot more fun.

Skyrim is well, exactly what I said about it before. Do whatever you want, whenever you want in a pseudo Roman-Nordic-Egyptian-fantasy-scifi world. Also, did you get the Legendary edition or just the base version of Skyrim?

Without any spoilers, Tomb Raider is such a strange beast of a game that I have mixed feelings on. I'd say it's definitely a good and enjoyable game in terms of gameplay, plus it's visually stunning if you clock up the settings. It's also a huge departure from any previous game in the franchise, which is a really good thing and really, really gritty for lack of a better word. But how it manages to actually handle Lara's narrative arc, well. It could've been a lot better, to say the least. I'll reserve judgement until Rise of the Tomb Raider, cause it's showed some promise in addressing some of the problems I had.

And obligatory mention that a PC is just as viable as a gaming platform, although it does take a bit of sitting down and tinkering depending on what you're trying to do, since the modern PC/laptop hardware has come a loonnnggg way.
