Jul. 6th, 2011 04:38 pmEVERYTHING IS DRARRY AND NOTHING HURTS
Aside from the final trailer and this clip, I haven't seen anything else from the film and that's gonna stay that way until the midnight premiere. Which, of course, I GOT MY TICKETS THE OTHER DAY SO I AM TOTALLY PSYCHED YAY! \O/ BE PREPARED FOR A SQUEEFUL INCOHERENT POST WHEN I COME BACK FROM THE THEATER.

Date: 2011-07-07 12:10 am (UTC)I think in the film we're going to be seeing some redemption of Draco, more than we saw in the seventh book, which I'm happy about. I was disappointed we didn't see more of his development and on the big screen I think it'll do his character justice. :)
lol, I'm going with my mom and sister to the midnight premiere and I'm not afraid of shedding my tears in front of everyone. My mom knows my level of fannishness. Hell, I think she'll be crying right beside me. :(

Date: 2011-07-07 12:23 am (UTC)BUT YEAH, THIS SCENE. I CAN'T TAKE IT. PLUS WITH THE BROOM-FLYING SCENE I JUST....YEAH. I THINK MY FANGIRLINESS WILL GO THROUGH THE ROOF WHEN I SEE THIS ON THE BIG SCREEN.
I WISH I COULD TAKE YOU WITH ME, TBH. IT'D BE JUST A BLAST. I'M WEARING MY TIME-TURNER NECKLACE AND POSSIBLY BRINGING MY HARRY POTTER WAND TO THE THEATER.
THOUGH I WISH I HAD A DARK MARK TEMPORARY TATTOO BECAUSE HOLY SHIT AWESOMENESS RIGHT THEREno subject
Date: 2011-07-07 12:49 am (UTC)Personally, I've never liked Draco. I always saw his role as the same as Dudley: as a cowardly bully who antagonized Harry but was never a real enemy or threat. And both Dudley and Draco got semi redemptions in DH, or at least were shown to be human. I guess having been bullied, and bullied by one guy in particular who was like Draco in a lot of ways, I can't find him appealing. His father, on the other hand..

Date: 2011-07-07 12:57 am (UTC)I think the movies have shown this as well, HBP we see Draco desperately clinging to the thing that will save his family, but understanding that he was in way over his head. I think that's what fascinates me about his character -- it's the same with Lucius, and Narcissa. I love all the Malfoys because of their shift in the end and how Draco grows up from his bullying ways and starts understanding what he wants to do, which is he right thing.

Date: 2011-07-07 01:06 am (UTC)I mean honestly, I could go on forever on my views on Draco, Lucius and Narcissa and why I see them, as a whole, a fascinating family and why Draco seems to be the one to grow and develop after his years at Hogwarts based on his experience. In fact, in this last film, I think they are going for that redemption storyline that we didn't see enough of in the final book, which I'm more than happy to see since I was kind of disappointed we didn't get more of the aftermath for the Malfoys post-war.

Date: 2011-07-07 01:12 am (UTC)I really do hope they give Draco a bit more depth in the movie. I kind of like movie!Draco more than book!Draco, and actually sympathized with him a little in movie 6. And I wonder how far they are going to go with Lucius and Narcissa. The book hints at them regretting their decisions, but it never quite goes there. I hope it does. I'm so ridiculously in love with movie!Lucius that I want him to have a bit of redemption. I'll settle for scenes with lots of characters though because I ship him with nearly everyone he isn't related to.
