OH YEAH, HARRY POTTER WEEKEND, YEAH! \O/

IT'S HARRY POTTER WEEKEND, BITCHES!

ABC Family is marathoning the Harry Potter films (uncut, deleted scenes are being featured!), and of course I'm smiling like the fangirl that I am. I don't know what it is, but whenever I hear Hedwig's theme I immediately get this happy, warm fuzzy feeling. Also, while watching Chamber of Secrets I kept going IT'S A HORCRUX HARRY, THE DIARY IS A HORCRUX! Which yeah, the nerd was totally coming out, not like that's new. I mean, I'm saying the lines with the movies without even looking up or paying attention. I'm not ashamed, because Harry Potter is fucking awesome.

Prisoner of Azkaban is still my favorite film, hands down. ♥

Plus Jason Isaacs is hosting the weekend, looking mighty fine as ever. Yes, I am a happy fangirl right now. ^_^

Prisoner of Azkaban is definitely the best one. I'm a lot biased because Sirius Black is my FAVORITE character in the books!

I love Cuaron's innovative vision for the third film, so much detail! It might not have been the greatest adaptation, but I thought it was brilliant and the shift in direction was refreshing. AND THE SOUNDTRACK IS AMAZING, OMG.

It's kind of tied with Deathly Hallows, Part 1 for my favorite in the film series, ngl. :)

Although personally POA is my least favorite. It is a good movie, but it isn't really a Harry Potter movie. I don't think Cuaron got the universe. My favorites are Deathly Hallows and Goblet of Fire.

I think the clips they're using with him are the clips from the Deathly Hallows, Part 1 BluRay DVD, but either way it's Jason Isaacs being all nerdy about Harry Potter on our screens. Because if there's any one of that cast that would be all for hosting something like that, it's Jason. He's the biggest fanboy. ;)

I'm the opposite. I think Alfonso Cuaron got the fantastical universe of HP, he really added so much to detail and outstanding way of creating such a magical world. While Columbus might have started it, I felt his style kind of repetitious so adding Cuaron along the list of different directors was a breath of fresh air, imo.

But hey, we all have our preferences to the films, some don't even like them at all. *shrugs*

That makes me feel a little better since I just ordered the combo pack. So, I'll see his bits (um, no pun intended. Really.) eventually. And he's such a nerd. He was awesome on the Peter Pan dvd.

Jason is pretty much tied with Johnny Depp for most attractive guy in my book (though mostly only when he has long hair. I have a major kink for long hair on guys).

It was the book for me, it was the first book I picked up of the series funnily enough (which got me addicted to the series in the first place.) But upon seeing the film I fell in love all over again. It's just so gorgeous and brilliantly done. ♥

Cuaron is a super fierce bitch and people who bitch about the sanctity of the text don't get that movies are filmed fanfic, really. it's directorial interpretation, & he's mexican and lovely-weird, it was bound to reflect.

maybe i'm just biased 'cause i like his stuff. Y Tu Mama Tambien is awesome. o.O

MAJOR WORD. I don't think there's any book-to-film adaptations that are exactly like the material, like exactly. People will find something to complain about, they actively search for something, no matter how huge or minor it may be (ex. people bitching about how Hermione's dress was pink instead of blue in GOF, or that Harry's eyes are blue instead of green, like srsly? O_o) It really is directial interpretation.

I love the books, but I also love the movies as well. As long as the films stay true to the core of the story, I'm not bothered by them that much at all. I just take them for what they are.

I know! Which is how I felt after I reread the books like, dude! The answer is right there! Can't you tell? But then I'm between that and going, "well you'll know soon enough Harry! lol!" XD

Harry Potter-induced conversations while being under the influence would be fantastic conversations, indeed. Then again, I've never drank so I wouldn't know how I would be if I were tipsy. But I have a feeling I would be the nerdiest drunk ever. ^_^
