Day 22 - Your favorite minor character

Since all minor characters are anyone besides the Winchesters, Bobby and Castiel, this is definitely gonna take a while. In all honesty, I enjoyed many minor characters on this show, most of them hardly got enough screentime or development which left much to be desired of their character storylines. From the Harvelles, Jessica and Rufus to Gabriel, Uriel, Lucifer, Balthazar, etc. It's difficult to pinpoint my absolute favorite because some of their storylines were so fascinating. So much wasted potential.


Day 23 - The character that is most like you

Ava Wilson

I'm definitely like Ava, personality-wise. Particularly when we first met her in "Hunted" when she was rambling on and on, which can definitely be me whenever I tend to go off in randomly rambling about something. Also, I think if I were in Ava's shoes when figuring out all the shit that's been going down, having to tag-along with someone like Sam Winchester during that episode like to the therapists office, I would act the exact same way and be all, "Am I okay? I'm awesome! :D" just like she did.

And I'll admit, sometimes my "people skills" are "rusty" just like Castiel. ^_^

Oh, and I just found out that Adrianne Palicki (Jessica from Supernatural, Tyra from Friday Night Lights) has been cast as the new Wonder Woman! Well, for the new NBC television show that is. \O/ YAY, SO HAPPY FOR HER!

I like the Ava scene when she and Sam are up on the roof, and Sam is going on about what kind of rifle it is, and she's like, "Who ARE you?"

The show is great at giving us minor characters and also great at not giving those minor characters enough to do! I love pretty much the whole cast and want to see them more. Ava's a great example -- I loved her (and Andy!) a lot, but she was only in what, two episodes? But I liked her chattiness, she was fun.

Hooray Adrianne Palicki! I admit that I was rooting Traci Dinwiddie (Pamela the Psychic) in her long Twitter campaign to be Wonder Woman, but I was quite pleased to see it went to another SPN alum. :D

Ava! I think of myself as kind of a cross between Dean and Castiel. I relate a whole lot to Dean's self-esteem issues and protectiveness. I relate to Cas' faith and then points of questioning. And I relate to Cas' lack of emotions a lot of the time.

Adrianne will be awesome. I wanted Bridget Regan, but Adrianne is the next best thing.

And minor characters are hard for me too. I love so many of them. I suppose if I had to choose it would probably be either Ellen or Alistair. But there are so many awesome characters on this show.

Ava is adorable. Granted I'm biased because I really like Katharine Isabelle, but really. She rocked in the two episodes she appeared in. ♥ And I'm totally her with her bubbly/rambly personality. Heeeee. ;)

Awww, not even when she was being all adorable and rambly when she was with Sam in "Hunted"? Particularly with the thing about her in the psychiatrists office and babbling about eating pop rocks? Because she was super cute there, and that's kinda my personality in a nutshell. ;) I mean yeah, I didn't like that they turned her evil in the end, but still.

Her dealing with the weirdness is probably how I would have dealt with it, to be honest. Being all "this is some crazy shit and you dude, are totally crazy, but I am having something weird going on with me too!" and that whole "dude, who are you?" after Sam was explaining the particular gun the rounds he found belonged to. ;) I mean seriously, that would SO be me in that situation. For real. ;p

It's both an upside and a downside with this show, because they introduce us to some amazing minor characters only to discard them completely without any further development. Some only lasting for about an episode or two, sometimes even scattered throughout the series before they are killed off or forgotten. It sucks, and it's a huge flaw the show has had for the longest time. But some of those minor characters have made huge impressions on us even when they're short-lived.

Ava's down-to-earth personality and chattiness and overall friendly vibe was kind of refreshing on the show, and I liked her a lot. And with her reminding me of me at times, she's totally who I would be if I were in such a situation like that. ;)

Perhaps we could petition Traci to be up for the Wonder Woman movie that is still pending? Any form of Wonder Woman, really, because after hearing about her wanting to campaign for the role I immediately was like "she could totally pull it off". :D

I can definitely relate to Castiel's deep questioning particularly in regards of morality, what is right and wrong, etc. It's interesting that there are some qualities to some characters that I share, however I definitely have more in common with Ava since if I were in her position, getting freaky-ass visions I would totally act the way she did. Mildly freaking out while making sense of the whole thing. ;)

Perhaps we can campaign Bridget for the feature film that is still pending? idk, but I totally want Bridget to be Wonder Woman in some form because. Well, she IS essentially Wonder Woman. ♥

The minor, secondary characters are sometimes far more interesting than our main ones. It's a shame that the show cannot do like this whole elaborate Scooby Gang setup where they have so many allies and companions to help them out if needed, you know?
