rogueslayer452Didn't watch the new Supernatural tonight, didn't care for it. I heard it was better than the premiere though, so that's good. Still, this is more relevant to my interests than anything else:
CASTIEL IS BACK IN ALL HIS BAMF GLORY, HELL FUCKING YESSSSSS!! \O/ \O/ \O/
Seriously, the entire storyline of angels and Heaven and Castiel with more angels is far more interesting that what is happening right now with the brothers and the Campbells. I mean, I've always thought the expansion of the mythology was more fascinating and seeing them expand it in this season, when originally they weren't going to, excites me more than anything else. And next Friday's episode will be written by Ben Edlund, one the writers on the show that I love and respect handling the story and characters so, glad he's writing for when Castiel returns!
And we'll get Dean suggesting calling Castielbecause he misses his boyfriend! More BAMF entrances! BAMF FIGHTING AND FALLING OUT FROM HIGH BUILDING WINDOWS! And of course, hopefully some more Dean/Castiel eye!fucking. It's mandatory, it's Dean and Castiel. They have to ~meld~ in that way. Hehe.
Of course, next Friday I'll be in Chicago for the convention. So I don't know whether I'll be able to watch if, if there's plans for a live streaming or whatever. It's gonna be rather difficult, gonna have to work something out. Of course I'll be seeing Misha in person that weekend anyway, so it's not like I won't go without my fix, obviously. ;)

As for tonight's ep...eh, I didn't love it but I didn't hate it either. It was just kind of there for me. If you like babies, then it'll be your thing but otherwise eh...it was a lot of OOC Sam, Lisa moments (they finally gave the woman a smidge of personality) and a brief beautiful moment of Metallicar. However, there was too much Campbell time for my liking. DNFW them. UGH.

I would say skip tonight's episode, some said it's better but if anything it's just something to say that Sam and the Campbells are all sketchy and Dean goes back on the road (after some stupid inconsistency shit with Lisa, as usual). But really, who care about that?

One thing, though. In the premiere, didn't Sam say Cas hadn't answered his prayers? Specifically, prayers? Not that he couldn't have tried to call Cas, but as I'm assuming he still has the sigils on his ribs, how could Cas hear him anyway? Wonder if Sam was lying.
I hope this episode will answer the most important question, though: Does Cas's phone get reception in Heaven? :)

I will be hugely disappointed because after all Dean has gone through, Castiel would know not to do that to him even if it might look like he was "getting out of that life" as they claim as their argument. I mean, Dean even mentioned that he did whatever he could to break Sam out from solitary confinement in Hell, so I would suspect if Castiel knew anything he would have told Dean immediately and stop burdening himself. He knows Dean, inside and out, he knows how pained and tormented he was so it wouldn't make sense to keep it secret from him. Sam wanted to keep it hidden, convinced Grandfather Campbell and even Bobby to do that same. I doubt Castiel would have because I think he would be suspicious anyway.

I'm wondering whether this is even Sam at all, considering there's been a huge confusion of whether or not Sam even came back the same. In the preview here we see him without the tattoo on his chest, the one that protects against possession. Either that's a continuity error (not surprising for this show) or it was purposefully done for a reason. I don't know if Sam is really Sam, or something happened in whatever happened, whether he's lying about praying to Castiel or not. I haven't the foggiest idea what the hell is going on. I have ideas, but nothing is really getting me interested in all the inconsistencies with characters right now.
Though regarding the sigils on their ribs, those were placed specifically for no other angel to find them unless they wanted to be found. Like, they couldn't be tracked by if they prayed or gone to someone (preachers on the sidewalks, for example) their prayers would be listened to? The question remains do the sigils on their ribs work anymore, are they still there, or did they disappear now that they are no longer being hunted down? Hmmmm.
I hope this episode will answer the most important question, though: Does Cas's phone get reception in Heaven? :)
lol, I'm wondering if Castiel will still carry the cellphone with him this season. Because we all know that Castiel/phone is totes OTP for sure. ;D

The entire "reset" thing bugs the hell out of me from the moment it was even suggested, because it makes absolutely no sense given the progression the characters have gone through over the last five seasons which seemed more or less natural. This? This isn't natural in how they're structuring things. Nothing makes sense, none of the characters and their actions or motivations and explanations makes sense, it's just way off from where we left off. The idea of having them returning to hunting is nice as an idea, but they didn't think it through with how they were going to handle it after everything that's happened.
Then again, this is Supernatural. They are masterminds of inconsistencies, it seems.
Also notice the entire reversal of roles between Sam and Dean. Some people think it's clever, but I think that's just lousy writing just to get back into the "rhythm" of their monster hunting like how it was setup back in S1. Sorry, that is not what progressing a story is made of, kthx. :/ I'm seriously kind of done with all the Winchester stuff. Love the boys, but they need to be treated better than this.
