I've been downloading songs from my childhood years, well, more specifically from my junior high years anyway. I hadn't realized there were songs that I loved that I didn't have in my files, and believe me I have A LOT of music on my hard drive. Like, I've been reliving childhood memories of BACKSTREET BOYS and AALIYAH and TLC and old school MARIAH CAREY, and all of that. Also, isn't it funny how when you hear a song or see a certain music video you can tell exactly what year or era it's from, just by the look or song of it? Weird, huh? Heh. So, I've been on that nostalgic road for the last two days.

The SPACE preview clip for tonight's SPN episode has been posted, and I have some points and thoughts about it

01. BAMF!CASTIEL HAS RETURNED YAY, IT'S BEEN SO LONG BB, TOO LONG! AND HE HAS A MUCH BIGGER SWORD THAN YOU, BITCH, AHAHAHAAA!

02. I'm slightly worried about the whump!Castiel we'll be seeing, but having Dean fuss over him is worth everything. ♥ I do have two theories based on this though: his powers are diminishing bit by bit every episode we see him in, making him more human, or the fact that he's cut off from Heaven limits abilities that are tied with the Holiest of the Holy of Heaven, you know? Like ganking demons requires holy light, as I'm sure it does with healing others, and I'm betting he can time travel, as we do witness, but it'll take out all the energy inside of him as opposed to if he had Heaven's help. But it seems he'll be up for the badass angel showdown, which leads me to...

03. GOD! Could Julie McNiven have any less of a personality in this? Seriously, one of the things that annoyed me about her is how she lacks any kind of personality or any kind acting ability, there's zero chemistry between her and anyone on the show. She's just mainly there. I don't even know why they had her return. As you can tell, I really dislike the character very much, but it seems like she has her own sketchy agenda perhaps from the start (I always thought she was hiding something, or that could have been the lack of acting, idk) and if the preview worth anything, this means that she's going to die (since threatening a Winchester pretty much sealed her fate indefinitely). And I hope so too, because it seems Kripke is bringing back characters this season to finish them off, and Anna is one character I won't mind being killed off. I won't even shed a tear, in fact, I might rejoice. /soapbox

04. But if anything, I'll tolerate this episode because we'll have Castiel, Sam and Dean going back in time to meet young!Mary and young!John, so that amount of awesome outweighs the cringeworthy stuff with Little Miss Special Snowflake.

05. Also, I heard the title of the episode has been changed? It had been "Back To The Future 2" and now it's something like "The Song Remains The Same"? Can someone confirm this?

Just had to get that out, these are just my opinions and thoughts people alright? I'll have more to say after the episode has aired, of course. Other than that though, I'm excited for the episode, but I think I'm more excited for the next episode, 5.14 than this week's? I don't know, but I think after viewing spoilerish pictures for that one it made me somewhat giddy, lol.

Still working on my Dollhouse finale review, I have lots to say about it and the show overall, and how much I miss it already. I'm kinda sad that tomorrow will be Friday and it's no longer on. :( :( :(

I think the majority of people in fandom don't like her, actually. I'm definitely hoping he does waste her, that would be the BAMF HELL YEAH! moment for me. But on Castiel's behalf it'll be sad because we've seen time and again his family continue to disappoint and betray him. :(

At least there will be some H/C Dean/Castiel after this episode, and possibly after the next episode too...

YOUNG!JOHN IS TOTES HOT! :D AS IS YOUNG!MARY! I kinda love their casting of them, they look like they could actually be the younger versions of John and Mary.

I STILL listen to the BSB, bb! Their new album is totally awesome, and after all these years they continue to be awesome and going strong. I never really had a favorite member, but I think I'm leaning more towards Kevin now looking back, idk.

I pretty much agree. Julie McNiven seems so lovely whenever she makes some kind of personal appearance, but in character she's just bleurghhhhh... I'd love for Anna to have more to her, but she just doesn't work, it's a pity.

I know. It makes me sad because I have no doubts that she's a sweet person in real life, as her public appearances at conventions go, but she totally sucks at acting. Like, a whole lot to the point where I'm cringing and fast-forwarding. There's like, nothing there. Had they gotten a more capable actress, the storyline still would have sucked, but I would have tolerated the character more (it's the same with S4!Ruby, anyone besides Gen would have been great).

That's the thing with this show, casting can be either a hit or a miss. This was definitely a miss, as was the entire direction for the storyline. It was the only mistake season four ever made.

I'm just fascinated by her hair. It's so red and obviously a dye job!

Anyway, I love that little clip with the weapons and the accompanying jokes that went along with it. Size queens for the win!

And I am so glad that Cas will doing more besides comedy relief. I was afraid from reading one review he be passed out the whole eps. so I am glad that is not the case.

I am just eagerly awaiting till 9 pm tonite.

And I still have a lot of respect for them because all boybands come and go but they stay. They are just there and they do their thing and do it well.

Exactly. There have been many boy bands in the past, but none of which has stuck around as long as the Backstreet Boys have. And they continue to go strong. I remember going to one of their concerts in Las Vegas one year, and it's wasn't like all those other concerts where teenage girls are screaming when they are singing and you can't hear a single thing. It was a mixture of age groups and everyone was singing along to the songs, and it was absolutely amazing.

They are still awesome, and just like they say in their song, "as long as there's music they'll be coming back again" BSB are timeless.

For me, it's 12 hours until the episode. COUNTING DOWN BB, COUNTING DOWN!

LOL OBVIOUSLY DYED, THIS IS TRUE. But it's annoying because it's always so fucking messy, like she doesn't bother cleaning herself. It's distracting. I'm a girl and it's like CLEAN YOURSELF FFS! Hell, Buffy had better hairdos and she ACTUALLY FOUGHT DIRTY. lol

It's totally the MY WEAPON IS BIGGER THAN YOURS! comparison, isn't it? But I have to say, Castiel's is prettier (and shinier, and definitely an upgrade from last season's poker-like swords).

I do like my Castiel in comedic kinda stuff, but it's great to finally get back into the dramatic arc of the season.

I'm thinking he'll be slightly weakened in this one, because of the time travel thing, but I'm glad he won't be for long. I'm just happy that he's back, and he's going to be kicking some ass and smiting some bitches while he's still got his strength. I do wonder how he'll handle returning them all back to their time, though. I NEEDS THIS EPISODE NOW, KTHX SHOW.

Yeah, or everyone seems to sound the same because that's what was popular. I remember my mom used to think a few different singers were Christina Aguilera on the radio because they all sounded the same lol. It's funny what songs remind you of. I was listening to "My Heart Will Go On" and remembering when Leonardo D. was still hot lol. And how me and my friends saw titanic three times.

The episode name as changed to 'the song remains the same'. At least that's what my DVR says the title is lol. I kind of wish Anna wasn't so monotone on the show, but she grew on me since the first episode she was on lol.

Yeah, or how all the female pop singers were mostly blonde (Britney Spears, Christina Aguilera, Jessica Simpson, Mandy Moore, etc) and there were like shitloads of boy bands back then. But it's like there's a certain sound in the beats that you can tell it's either from the early '90s or late '90s or even the early new millennium or something, you know? It's like how one can distinguish 80s music and 90s music to the 2000s and even today's music. It's all distinguishable and unique, even if sometimes they all sound the same.

I also get thrown back in time which is, kinda weird. Because it's not that long ago but it feels like it is.

I tried at least giving Anna a chance from the first episode she was introduced, but once 4.10 came around I was like ugh, get rid of her already. OMG SPICE GIRLS! :D :D :D It's always such a fantastic way of reliving those days, just by playing the songs that came out during that time. And just knowing the words to a song that you hadn't heard IN YEARS and just singing along, it's like a surreal moment of "whoa, hold up, I still know this after all this time?!" It's kinda awesome. Plus, I do love me some old school hip hop and bubble gum pop. ;p

I know. That clip just made me cringe, because that's all she ever does. Just stands there spewing out monotonous bullshit. There's nothing in that performance at all, no personality, nothing and it's like plz gtfo my show already. I thought they had gotten rid of her last season once realizing that nobody liked her, I guess Kripke wanted to make a "real reason" for her storyline to end in this episode. Heh. Whatever. Old school Mariah, before her Glitter days, I really liked her. "Fantasy" was the song everyone knew and once you started singing the beginning beats everyone else would join in with you (it's the same with singing the Fresh Prince theme song)

He did say that there were things he couldn't do, so we're just finding out to what extent this means. Traveling back in time is definitely going to put a damper into his energy, I just hope he makes it back with the boys okay. And Dean being all worried over his angel is going to be awesome, because from that little clip we saw earlier of whump!Castiel and Dean going all "no no no" with him? Oh yeah, hurt/comfort here we come.

I missed Cas, too. I just hope that if they so a season 6 that he is still around. Maybe that would also make the boys wanna do another season if they knew they were gonna spread out the work a little more.

Bella had been the only character that I have majorly disliked. I think that was the writing issue.

I hope he sticks around too, because right now I can't imagine another season without him. He's been made a regular, which is interesting since Bobby is still secondary and he's been with the boys for a long while now. So they better have Castiel stick around if/when there's that sixth season, which I'm still wary about but hopefully they'll do something smart instead of just the regular hunts again. I kinda want them to extend the apocalyptic arc since, you know, how can you end the show properly without it becoming dull? The Apocalypse is the only way to finish with a bang, imo.

Oh yeah, Bela too. I didn't like her while watching season three, though in retrospect we were meant to not like her. Also yeah, it generally was a writing issue, Kripke even mentioned that the character didn't fit in the grand scheme of the show. Though honestly really I didn't mind Lauren Cohen, she did the best she could with what she had, but I have to agree that the character just did not fit at all with the universe of Supernatural. The third season is perhaps the weakest season though, in terms of writing and direction.
