Ficmix: Six/Castiel - Angels of the Lord
Dec. 20th, 2008 04:34 pmAlright ladies and gents, after much revising and postponing from not having enough time due to school and such, MAH SUPAH SEKRIT PROJECT has finally been finished, complete with a beta who approved mightily. So I present to you all, my epic baby, Angels of the Lord: a Six/Castiel Ficmix. Yes, crossing over two of my most EPIC FANDOMS with the two most awesomely epic characters in them, which together they are meant to do epic things, amirite y'all? Anyway, here it is, and hope you all enjoy. *g*

Notes: In making crossovers, I had difficulty trying to figure out how to make two characters from different fandoms come together like this. I have many different versions and alternatives, but decided this would be a great start. I admit my shallowness for Six/Castiel, however the more I began working and devising the concept, the more it made sense to have Six appear to Castiel as he did to Dean. This is, more or less, my tribute to this crackalicious pairing which has become my crack!OTP. And I probably will do more in the future.

01. "Higher Than Hope" by Nightwish
"It has begun," the human voice quivered from his throat, the vessel he choose was getting to him. He dared not let it show, even though he knew she could see through anything and everything about him.
But she only nodded, eyes cast downward as she approached him. "I know."
Nothing else was said, since there was nothing else to say. The war had reached it's peak, the Seals were being broken left and right, and their side (whatever side that would be, Castiel was beginning to not know anymore) was weakening. Brothers in arms were dying in the field, and whatever was left wasn't enough. He needed something, reassurance; the Winchester boy was getting there but how much longer before he understood his calling? Before he realized this wasn't a regular job, that the bigger picture was drawing near the End?
Castiel's devastation must've shown because Six's hand touched his arm. He glanced up and caught her gazing. Non-judging or accusing, as Uriel's would've been had he been standing in her place. She knew his feelings, but understood. As though she, too, had them as well.
There, in that second, a glimmer of hope re-emerged from his heart in knowing he wasn't alone.
02. "Hymni Nocturnales" by Qntal
She never doubted God surged through her entire being every day, but in the coming days of the War anxiety flooded through her. She felt like she needed reassurance of her duty here.
Coming to such a place of worship made her feel closer to God.
Walking down the aisle, she came to the front and knelt down at the bench, holding her hands up, interlocking her fingers together, and started to pray.
What seemed like an eternity she felt another familiar presence at her side.
"Good to see you, Castiel."
"And you, as well."
Together, they sat and prayed in silence. Feeling God's love and presence wash over them.
03. "Rev 22:20 (REV 4:20 Remix)" by Puscifer
Yet, it was happening.
Angels couldn't be together, not in this manner. It was unconscionable, it was every Sin imaginable and it was the basis for losing their Grace and wings and the Holy Fire of their ways. Though would it lead him to Fall, like others have? Temptation from a fellow warrior? He would think not, as it had never happened before. But through their time together, battling and visiting in private, Castiel never did get a chance to ask about her ranks. Neither of his brothers seemed to know or were aware of her continued presence around him, or him to her. It was almost like...
No. It wouldn't be possible, nor understandable. How could an angel appear to another angel, as one would to a human? It made little sense.
But when she leaned in and brushed her soft lips against his, he knew she was answering his innermost prayers for guidance, for solace; comfort and warmth. Although the Love of God would've been enough surging through them, in their losing war it clearly wasn't enough to satisfy the need for continuing, for venturing onward. It was a natural human need, a sense of wanting, longing, hoping for another's acceptance by physical contact.
Castiel knew of love, but he never felt desire before. The human body he took reacted almost instinctively; every sensation burning intensely as he fell deeper into the warmth of the woman before him.
Lord, Father forgive us...
04. "Fragments of Faithâ by Lacuna Coil
"Castiel, you must look inside your heart and understand what this is..."
"I understand what it is. It's unacceptable for us to...conjugate in this manner."
Six looked hurt. Not, not hurt, not exactly. Enraged. This was something new, something they hadn't done since they'd met, and honestly while Castiel held himself still before her he knew that if he dared take a step she would burn him then and there.
"God's plan," she started slowly, voice quivering, but Castiel held up his hand.
"Is not this. I'm sorry."
Suddenly she approached him, staring down at him dangerously. Her nostrils flared and her eyes burned with something indescribable. He only stared right back at her with the same intensity, as if challenging her to do or say anything else. Still, he dared not to move from where he stood.
She muttered something ("I will pray for you") and then stormed off, leaving Castiel feeling bit a relief, but also an emptiness in the pit of his stomach and fear. Fear of not knowing where to go from there.
05. "Silence" by Sarah McLachlan
Castiel felt utterly alone.
Until he felt another presence appear suddenly next to him.
"I didn't beckon for you," he uttered, his voice hoarse as though he'd strained it from the many battles he'd fought over the course of the last several days.
Six, clad in that familiar red dress, knelt at his side.
"You didn't need to," her voice replied, calm and soothing.
Castiel leaned into her hand that stroked his cheek, and like faithful comrades in battle, she took him in her embrace as he gave into that familiar warmth he needed. That he wanted and, Lord forgive him, he wanted and needed this. Was he becoming too familiar with humanity that he was starting to act and feel human himself? He didn't know, and he didn't want the answer then. All he wanted was to not be left alone with his self-doubt, with the agony of this war hanging in the balance.
And Six stayed with him, in this unspoken embrace, never leaving his side.
06. "Pegasus" by Bear McCreary
"You were my mission, Castiel," Six was explaining, still holding his gaze. "I was given several tasks to complete, but much like your orders to save and protect Dean Winchester, mine were to help guide you through your mission and help you through times of doubt. Though I, too, was going through certain misgivings. Needless to say, it was a benefit for us both."
Castiel didn't speak for a long moment. When he did, it was a simple question: "And who am I to you?"
Smiling kindly, Six rested one hand on his and the other on his cheek, and leaned close for him to hear her just above a whisper.
"Just another Angel of God, burning with His love, as I'd given to you. Be not afraid of it, Castiel. Thrive from it, because it is His love coursing through you, just as He is with me."
This time, their kiss meant more than just simple act of physical contact and need; it was reassurance, the warmth of God's love flooded through them like electricity, letting the knowledge of God's love flow deeper into the core of their very souls beyond the human skin they wore. In that moment of epiphany and confession, it was made clear that God's love moved in all of His Creations; human and angel alike, creatures of all kinds.
07. "Tikal" by E.S. Posthumus
The War was beginning to emerge, the Seals coming down to the last one that would unleash Lucifer from his hell bound cage. Even with Heaven's side weakening, their numbers kept adding up. The Winchesters and other hunters joining into the fight alongside the angels; Castiel and his brothers, and Six with her brothers and sisters, all gathered together on the battlefield in protection of the last and final Seal.
They were all bloodied, tired and war-weary, but it didn't stop them.
Castiel helped Dean during their many battles, and Six was now standing side-by-side alongside them, her attire changed from red to black, prepared for battle. She and Castiel exchanged knowing glances before the first battle -- both their blue eyes filled with hope and love and affection, and the fierce determination of winning the war together.
But whether they won or lost that day, it didn't matter. It wouldn't be over.
It would never be over.
And so, as brothers in battle and soldiers in war, both Six and Castiel knew that while they wielded their flaming swords and fighting the demons and performed Holy Fire exorcisms, they would still be in the fight, and that not matter what happened the love of God would still be with them. For they were angels of God Almighty Himself, and His love would never falter, and they would never lose sight of this fact.

God is love; and he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God, and God in him. ~ I John 4:16 (King James Version)Summary: They were sent from Heaven with a mission from God, the Holy Father of all Creation. As the world below starts to crumble, both from the ongoing battle between Heaven and Hell and the self-destructive behaviors of mankind, these two otherworldly creatures are there to complete their deeds. However, not everything runs smoothly according to the angelical orders. Castiel, who was sent to save Dean Winchester from damnation, and Number Six, an acclaimed angel herself, was brought to guide certain individuals to their destiny's in preserving the human race, even by questionable methods; upon meeting the other, it is known that neither can understand nor accept certain things happening in their own kind. Among that, starting to realize their initial feelings towards humanity, in which they lean and guide each other through these startling revelations -- and help the other in this battle. For they are Angels of the Lord, and will do whatever is necessary to prevent the next End of Days.

Aquae fovens vivificusThe Catholic cathedral was gigantic; the darkened building illuminated only by a dim light and candles surrounding the entire room. Six had been in many places of worship, but none compared to something as magical and familiar like a place such as this. Just by walking across the threshold, even before as she walked up the front steps, she started feeling God's love course through her again, as though his presence surrounded her at that moment.

Heaven holds a sense of wonderDays passed, and the weight was getting heavier. The War, his responsibilities towards protecting the Winchester boy and, against everything he'd known before, his formed relationship with a fellow comrade in this war. But it was the lingering feelings of doubt that started to really get to him. He couldn't go to Uriel, knowing what he would say on the matter. Dean Winchester was a good listener, but he couldn't provide much comfort; a bond between him and the boy started forming well but, in recent events with Anna, it was dwindling slightly.

that I'd get caught up

Instrumental. It was a testament of faith, his faith particularly. Six knew he would be questioning it, having doubts, and it was in her best interest, and God's as well, to make sure he didn't stray. His faith and love in God would never be broken, and they all knew this. But it was because of this that she needed to be sure he understood the full intent of her presence to him specifically.
"You were my mission, Castiel," Six was explaining, still holding his gaze. Date: 2008-12-21 07:00 am (UTC)Yeah, that can be an issue so I'm not going to give too much away if you don't know much more than that. But Castiel's hot, and Six is hot (obviously, like hello!), and really they are SUCH a fantastic cracky pairing like, whoa. I love them and they are like, my multifandom OTP. Also, the angels in SPN's S4 are so much like the Cylons, I'm not even joking. The parallels are just there it's hard NOT to connect those dots and do shippings with angels/cylons. F'srs. :D
Once again, thank you for such a lovely compliment. It makes me all warm and fuzzy inside. ♥

WE'RE BOTH ONE-TRACK MIND PPL, YO! XD SO YOU'RE NOT ALONE. I've been thinking about more Six/Castiel stuff to create, along with other little multifandom pairings. And since now that I have two weeks freetime I can get started on those ideas. \o/

Date: 2008-12-31 01:16 am (UTC)The songs, too, I tried to listen to them while reading the right section, and the effort was so worth it because they really do complement the story!
I love love love how the natural human need is so natural to Castiel.
Enraged!Six is so fucking hot. And Castiel's defiance, too. Goddamn, they're motherfrakking ANGELS.
The idea of Six being to Castiel what Castiel is to Dean? Genius. YOU ARE A GENIUS, BB.
Oh man, maybe Molly went to heaven after Dean and Sam got her to let go and met Castiel. :))
no subject
Date: 2008-12-31 02:24 am (UTC)The entire concept to me just fits, since we've talked about how the Cylons and the angels in Supernatural are kinda one in the same, it just makes sense to place them together. I know it's a cracky and unconventional pairing, but seriously, how awesome would it be if Six and Castiel actually met face-to-face? Two angels of God sent for a specific purpose and task?
I also tried to be discreet about the whole Cylon thing, and since it was all about Six appearing to Castiel as Castiel appears to Dean, I didn't want to recreate what the Gaius/Six relationship has been. I wanted it to be different, and judging from yours and other's compliments, I did just that.
The songs part was also difficult. For my fanmixes I try to incorporate music that fits the tone and atmosphere of what I'm creating, but also use songs that aren't repeated in most fanmixes. You know what I mean? So, I'm glad you felt the music complemented the story.
Oh man, maybe Molly went to heaven after Dean and Sam got her to let go and met Castiel. :))
AHA, that's actually a very good tie-in for this, and highly plausible too. :D
ONCE AGAIN, THX SO MUCH FOR REVIEWING THIS BB! MUCH APPRECIATED AS ALWAYS AND OF COURSE, SIX/CASTIEL IS NOW MAH OTP IN CRACKY PAIRINGS BECAUSE THEY ARE HAWT AND SEXY ANGELS OF THE LORD AND IT WOULD JUST BE SO FRAKKING EPIC IF THEY GOT TOGETHER.
CYLONS AND ANGELS FTMFW!!!

Date: 2008-12-31 08:40 am (UTC)Man, I have never been into crossovers before, but considering how much I love both of these shows and both of these characters, you are really winning me over here. You're right, we're right, cylons and angels are the perfect analogous pair and putting them together opens up so many doors. :))
...Now I kind of want to see some Leoben/Uriel. >.<
I THINK WE NEED ICONS OF THIS EPIC SHIP. AND MORE FICS AND MIXES, TOO. *POINTED LOOK*!

Date: 2008-12-31 10:28 am (UTC)OMG, THE THOUGHT OF LEOBEN/URIEL IS MAKING ME LOL. XD Though it's interesting since I've always considered Castiel kinda like Leoben, as they both have that calm, Zen personality about them.
YES, I DEMAND ICONS OF THEM AS WELL! IT MUST BE DONE! AND DON'T WORRY, I PLAN ON MOAR SIX/CASTIEL SEXY GOODNESS, ALREADY WORKING ON ANOTHER LITTLE THING RIGHT NOW! MUAHAHAA!!!
