These dreams we dream.
Jan. 10th, 2008 04:55 am01. The other day I had the unexpected courtesy of reading many angst-ridden pieces of fanfic. Oh, they weren't bad. In fact they were wonderfully written, just very depressing. I'm like damn, so much emotional stories in one day? That's got to be a record for me; usually it's a mixed bag of genres, so this was like a back-to-back Angst Fic Day or something. But then I read some cute fluffy stories and everything was fine.
02. I'm pretty much enjoying The Daily Show and The Colbert Report snarking it up due to the writers strike. Kind of amusing how bitchy they seem, both in their own way of course.
03. So apparently BSG fans are pretty much thinking that the Last Supper photo from EW has this hidden message underneath it, like very The Da Vinci Code-esque. Also apparently reports say that's been debunked, as it's all for show and basic symbolism. Gorgeous symbolism, might I add. Though wouldn't it be interesting if there was some hidden ghost image in that picture? Of like the Cylon God or the fifth and final Cylon? Or possibly some sort of clue hidden to where S4 could lead towards. Even though they didn't, I still think it would've been clever.Perhaps it is there and we've been warned about it so it leaves more mystery to when we do find it, since RDM did say the final Cylon is not pictured there, maybe they are just not visually to the nake eye. AH-HA.
04. I have a sudden urge to shop. I haven't gone shopping since those after-Christmas sales, and I've been craving some new items of clothes. And shoes, and jewelry, and even some house decore things. Then again, I'm pretty dangerous when I go shopping, because whenever I go to my favorite stores in search for a particular item, I always leave with more than I anticipated. I get tempted to easily, especially with those clearance sales. Oh, whatever am I do to with myself.
05. And finally, it's Fandom Meme Time:

Give me a character from any fandom you know I am into and I will tell you:
a. My favorite thing about that character.
b. My least favorite thing about that character.
c. One person I would ship them with in their own 'verse.
d. One crossover ship for them I think would be neat.

Date: 2008-01-10 02:43 pm (UTC)b. I don't have a least favorite thing, 'cause Captain Tightpants is love. ♥
c. Even though they never went far in the series or even in the movie, I still like the electricity between Mal and Inara. USTing and being complete opposites aside, they seem to have an understanding of each other and a connection that I liked. If only something more could've happened. I mean hell, if Simon and Kaylee got it on in the movie, why couldn't there have been some hooking up between Mal and Inara? I know it was implied, but jeez Joss, throw them a bone or something...
d. Man, this is hard. Um, perhaps Kara from BSG, just because I can totally see their characters communicating on the same level that's different from his and Inara's bantering (ironically enough, Katee and Nathan were in White Noise 2 together, so yay).

Date: 2008-01-10 04:20 pm (UTC)b. I don't think it's a least favorite thing, but I do wish she wouldn't be so gung-ho over Gaius all the time. I'm glad, though, that she did see his faults in S3 after meeting up with him finally on New Caprica. Sensing his fundamental change and all that.
c. I would actually like to see Caprica-Six/Sharon. Either Boomer or Athena, it doesn't really matter.
d. Ha! I've always had inside my own universe that Six would meet up with Sylar, though this is more head!Six than Caprica-Six. Like, Sylar would have his own head!Six persuading him and convincing him of things, most likely driving him more insane than he already is. Plus, they would be SO HOT together, OMG.

Date: 2008-01-10 11:52 pm (UTC)b. That he has no close friends, or anyone to fall back on. I mean, almost every character has someone to turn to whenever they get lost or need a shoulder to cry on, but Mohinder literally is all alone. Even though he's met or have been in contact with nearly every single character on the show. It's kind of sad, really.
c. Hah, I do like the Mylar of course, but recently I've been all about Matt/Mohinder. I just find their whole living situation adorable, and going with what I said above if there was to be anyone to be Mohinder's friend I think Matt would be the guy. If, you know, we'd seen some more actual bonding instead of bickering
like the old married couple they are. In terms of female characters, while his relationships with them are strictly in the platonic manner, I sort of liked the idea of Niki/Mohinder and possibly Maya/Mohinder.d. Recently I've had this insane crossover idea to have Inara and Mohinder together.

Date: 2008-01-11 12:14 am (UTC)b. Though it is BECAUSE of her hardass attitude that I didn't like her character for a while. I sort of didn't like her take on Brennan and the squints, not to mention her interfering with the existent-nonexistent UST between Booth and Brennan (I know, I know, they weren't exactly "together" in that way but, as a viewer you kind of know there's a possibility and anyone who messes it up it kind of, ugh. Yeah.) However, I have warmed up to her more recently.
c. Hmm, I honestly don't know.
d. Not really in a relationship per se, but I would like to see her interact with Gibbs from NCIS.

Date: 2008-01-12 03:22 am (UTC)b. I generally disliked her in "Four Months Ago", with her overtly childishness and just invading personal space. I'm like okay, I know she's not quite right and has a few screws loose from her upbringing, but I could've gone without that. I also didn't like how she was all groping Mohinder, but then again that's because I wanted to be in her spot then, but that's already a given.
c. Heh, judging from the fact that she flirts with everyone she comes in contact with, I honestly wouldn't know. But I would actually like to see some Claire/Elle...simply because femslash is nearly nonexistent in this show and their standoff was awesome.
d. I was thinking about this eariler today as I was watching Supernatural, and I started thinking about Meg and how interesting it would be if she and Elle met. Perhaps not in a shippy kind of way, but more of a "partners in crime" kind of way, since they seem to have the same sadistic sense of humor. I also would like to see how Dean would react to Elle. He would be interested but frightened away by her ability, of course. Most definitely would refer to her as someone who's has a "few fries short of a happy meal", as he would put it, which is not far from the truth.

Date: 2008-01-13 02:16 am (UTC)b. He repeatedly says that he doesn't feel anything, but I think he does. He just refuses to let himself feel so he doesn't get too emotionally close to anyone or anything. But that's not a "least" favorite thing, it's just an analysis I see in his character that I'd wish he would recognize.
c. I like Dexter/Rita. They're so cute.
d. Um, Dexter/Sylar? Yeah. ;)
