Well, we already know I hate West. But, yeah, Claire is annoying me too. She is just so much more than this. I feel like she's regressed this season.

It's upsetting that it's been reduced to this with her character. She's dealt with much, much more things from last season and now they're rehashing the old high school storyline with her? Claire should start becoming more involved with the bigger plots instead of this, because she does want to do something more than sitting around. She even said so the her dad, and that moment I was proud of her for wanting to use her abilities for good. Then tra-la-la West comes along, sweeps her off her feet (literally, which gag me with that please, kthx) and completely ruins her characterization. I just hope that when he and HRG meet, which eventually they will, HRG is SO scary that West'll piss his pants and go home crying.

I have been incredibly bored with most of the Hiro stuff this season. But if things all happen with Kensei in the future (present?) like what you described, then I'll be happy with it.

Yeah, the ancient Japan stuff, while interesting in the beginning, started to stray and left me feeling like we're reliving the same thing in every episode. Kind of like the West/Claire scenes. But I think the general idea for that was the setup the friendship/alliance between Hiro and Kensei, Hiro having Kensei stepup to his title of being a hero and to only unintentionally betray him with the princess, leading to Kensei's downfall. If only they'd done it in a better way of scenes or editing in episodes. Eh, at least now Kensei has turned the tables which will lead to more (hopefully) interesting reveals about his character, past and present.

The whole NYC plots and destruction I thought was kind of ripping off S1 when I first saw it, but I was thinking along the same lines you were, that despite the reusage of the same city and location it's the central place where all the Heroes gather and join together. We do know that the Company (I think?) is located there, or at least a facility runned by them, and the Group of Twelve have gathered there multiple times before. I think that even though they could go to different places, NYC is the main point for everything that's happened and what's going to happen. Again, this show is all about how people and places are all connected for a reason, so I do hope it's revealed later this season.

Aside from that, the parallels and reminiscence to "Five Years Gone" is so evident. It may not be entirely the same, with the prevention of the explosion, but with the virus, mutations and threatening of a possible pandemic breakout the future is still dark and bleak (and very Resident Evil or 28 Days Later). I have no idea where my thoughts are going with this, but it's all very interesting, and I have a feeling that WHY the Older Generation wanted the explosion to happen in NYC from S1 was to stop such an outbreak from occurring; or perhaps, in the 5YG-verse the virus still existed and Sylar!Nathan wanted future!Mohinder to use it after getting rid of such organizations like the Company and the Linderman Group. Again, parallels!

Okay, I'm getting ahead of myself with these theories and speculations. Moving on....

Haha. I should fully read posts before I start commenting to them. Your morality section was really interesting and I totally agree.

Hee. It's one of the reasons why I love this show, actually. The moral ambiguities all the characters are faced with and the decisions they make based on them. Some are more evident with others, like HRG (which he was AWESOME in the episode), and especially with Mohinder. He knew when he signed onto this partnership and mission to take down the Company that he would have to do things he wasn't comfortable with, but they crossed the line with this particular task. The exploration with this is nice to see, which allows to characters to go through certain trials and tribulations and not seem cardboard-like with their actions.

That Mohinder and Molly scene? Metled my heart, short as it was I smiled. Aww, I love paternal!Mohinder. So sweet and protective.

WOW, this comment is longer than it should've been....
