Do you take part in any roleplaying games, or have you ever roleplayed? What was the format? Do you still roleplay, or is it very much a thing of the past? Have you ever done LARP?
I haven't actively participated in any RPGs, tabletop or otherwise, however I have watched others do and it truly seems like a lot of fun. Obviously, for those who know me know that I've been huge with watching people play Dungeons & Dragons and similar kinds of dice-related tabletop games (such was Critical Role, for example, and most recently getting into Dimension 20), and it's something that I would love to partake in one day myself, it's just a matter of finding not only the right gaming group but also the time and energy. I have, of course, read a lot on D&D and I have started kind of creating my own characters in case the day comes, so y'know. And with video games, well, I only play single player, I have never done any MMORPGs. I just feel more comfortable playing by myself and going at my own pace with games, imho. I have never done LARP, though I've seen it firsthand when I went to a renaissance faire many years ago. It's an activity that seems like fun, though I don't know if I would have the confidence to actually participate in aside from just dressing up.
The only kind of roleplaying I've ever done was doing a co-opt fanfic RPing with a junior high/high school friend via email, and I did another kind of RPing with a friend over AIM. Of course, there were not actual rules we just kind were fooling around and having fun. It was only for a brief time though and it gradually kind of tampered off on its own. But I remember it just being an interesting kind of exercise as that was the first time I kind of dipped into RPing in general.
