++ LiveJournal seems to be underneath more DDOS attacks, this has been the second major hit the site has faced within a week, hence why they have been abruptly not loading properly for anyone that has been wondering. I'm hoping they can get this situation properly fixed so there aren't anymore attacks, because I'll be honest....I would be devastated if this site was to be down indefinitely. ++ I am majorly disappointed that no store anywhere (in my area) carries the Sucker Punch soundtrack. I mean yeah, I have it on my computer but I would also like the purchase it for real, physically in my hands as I walk out of the store and play it in my car as I'm driving home. Oh well, that is what Amazon is for I suppose. Still, I pretty much sadfaced after each place I went to the other day and I left empty-handed. ;__;

++ SciFi's Alice premiered this evening, the first part, and it is SO FRAKKING GOOD YOU GUISE, OMG. Of course it would be good, it was developed by the people that did Tin Man which was awesome in itself so this was definitely going to be amazing, too. Plus, I really enjoy different takes on these kinds of stories, of the Alice in Wonderland story and recreating an entire universe based around it, just like with what they did with Wizard of Oz for Tin Man. A futuristic alternate universe kind of fairytale, with its own legends and mythology. I love it. I'll have more thoughts once the miniseries is all wrapped up by tomorrow night.

And...I kinda ship Alice/Hatter. Oh come on, you all agree with me, don't lie. The chemistry and UST is scorching, like whoa. And Hatter is quite hot, not gonna lie. *g*

++ Is it pathetic of me of actually waiting for SciFi to air a freaking preview for Stonehenge Apocalypse? Between the awesome Caprica previews, I am not ashamed in saying that I was waiting for them to show at least something. WHEN IS IT COMING OUT?! I WANT AND NEED MY MISHA COLLINS FIX NOW, DAMMIT! IT IS ESSENTIAL THAT MISHA MUST BE ON EVERYTHING ON DEMAND, RIGHT NOW.

All this LJ strike drama is giving me a headache. This whole thing is ridiculous. I have nothing against those who want to do something in regards to SUP's actions, and I understand their frustrations and intentions with this, however this "one day strike" business is just silly and pointless. It's not going to accomplish anything other than it being another one of those slow days on LJ. Many are going to not post, while many others are. No big difference is going to be made. If you want an effective strategy to fight for something, try contacting those in charge by writing well-written angry letters describing the problem instead of boycotting one day. Or, y'know, accept the changes even if it sucks and live with the fact that these new owners are going to do what they will because it is their business now and businesses have to make sacrifices for more profits. Even if they're shitty at it.

I'm tired and cranky, and I'm going to be frank about this: I won't be participating. I'm not leaving LiveJournal. I'm going to post Friday if I want to, and if anyone has a problem with that can shove it. M'kays?

Sidenote: I don't mean to disrespect those who are participating, if that's what you want you have every right to. I'm just in a ranty mood because all this wank and whining has exploded and it's driving me absolutely mad and I don't want to be called a "traitor" or whatever just because I'm not following suit with everyone else.

In the midst of the power outage that effected LJ/Six Apart operations, while I busied myself with other things/chores I'm glad that LiveJournal has returned. Fwee.

So I've been watching CSI on SpikeTV, because nothing else interesting is on and I'm waiting for Jon Stewart and Stephen Colbert to come on. So far I've seen guest-appearances by Zachary Quinto, Tricia Helfer, Mark Sheppard, and Ian Somerhalder, all three episodes back-to-back. Quite a treat, actually. And I find it interesting that Mark and Tricia have worked before, in this as well as in the third season of BSG. Yes, I like making those little connections of fandoms colliding. I am easily amused and entertained by those notions, so sue me. This makes me really want Zachary and Tricia to work together giving me ideas for Sylar/Six sexiness. Okay, I'll stop now.

After seeing those previews for the movie I Know Who Killed Me, it does look mildly intriguing. However, I'm certainly not rushing to a theater to see it. Perhaps if they'd gotten a different lead actress instead of Lohan I would feel more interested. But I don't want to waste my money on that trainwreck.

Frakking yeah is right: Battlestar Galactica is scheduled for renewal of a fourth season. Totally exciting, of course there was hardly any doubt on my part about it getting another season. The series is phenomenal, and with what's being revealing this season it's completely top-notch and worthwhile television. Oh yes, there are spoilers in the article if you scrow downward, but they also warn you in bold text too, so be cautious while reading.

Also, am I seriously the only one that doesn't mind the LJ Valentine's layout? I think it's cute, personally speaking. Not to everyone's tastes I understand, but it's the thought behind it that counts.

I. So, as I mentioned before LiveJournal's been going through some new changes with features, in case anyone hasn't noticed. One in particular hover-menus over userpic icons, which most people aren't thrilled about having. If you're displeased with this feature, as I was, then you can go to the Viewing Options, turn it off, and voilà! Problem is solved.

II. Why is it that the House fandom mainly attracts the most amount of trolls and immature twats? It's just too weird.

III. Since it's been announced on the official website and other sources, Medium will be premiering it's third season on Wednesdays, starting November 15th. This is primarily due to the new series, Kidnapped, which has been doing poorly, has been moved to Saturdays. Thankfully, NBC had taken the wise decision of allowing Medium to be boosted up in its season three premiere date, as it was originally supposed to have been midseason sometime in January. This is fantastic news to hear! All my shows are returning! All there is now is Psych, which will be returning midseason.

IV. Very interesting. I spotted the Ninth Doctor (Christopher Eccleston) on Poirot earlier today, in the episode "One, Two, Buckle My Shoe". It's funny because I've seen that episode numerous of times, and I just realized it was him. Huh.

V. All new Heroes tomorrow. Yay!
