In light of recent events, by that I mean the abrupt changes this site has made and causing much kerfuffle by the majority of its users despite them not really giving a damn about our concerns, there's been a massive amount of non-activity, at least from my observation via my own friendslist. Everyone seems to have migrated elsewhere, be it Tumblr or Dreamwidth, or just aren't online anymore these days or just up and deleted their journal for good. Of course it's not all due to the stupidity of these changes, some people have just moved on and that's fine, but having been on LJ since 2003 I've come to know many amazing people and seeing them not online anymore, no word on where they went, just makes me kinda sad.

If you're still here give a shout-out. Also, if you're located elsewhere, let me know those as well.

I'll still be posting here, obviously. I still hate what this site has done (and continues to do) and part of me wants to just switch over to Style 2 so I can get a customized layout so I don't have to deal with the stupidity of the comments section or how the entries look in my journal. Of course, I don't know what that would cost me (if I change it will I get the original back if I don't like S2?) Or should I switch everything over to DreamWidth instead? Just, gah. Idk. :/

It's been my observation that LJ has been very quiet lately. Most of which seemed to happen during or after the whole hacking incident, which is understandable, many felt uneasy when the place was constantly shutting down and trying to repel the hackers who were causing so much trouble. I know some have migrated over to Dreamwidth or Tumblr because of that, however these days it feels like all my flist either aren't posting or just aren't online anymore, which might not be the case. It is summer hiatus, after all, and I know most of you have lives outside of the online world. But still, it feels like I'm kind of alone on here and that it makes me sad.

So please, my lovely flist, let me know that you're still alive and that you haven't gone anywhere, even if you just lurk/read and don't usually comment. I just want to know who is still alive out there in 'ole LJland so that I don't feel abandoned get worried.

I'm not that into for Valentine's Day. It's not that I hate it, it's just I never really participated in anything other than like the friendly exchanging of cards to friends in school and whatnot, and that's the extent to anything V-Day related for me. But I feel like even if this can be a bitter holiday for some we can make the most out of making each other feel loved and thought about. Which I do, I love each and every single one of you guys, you're all incredibly special and sweet and you all deserve all the loves and hugs every single day of the year, not just on these obligatory holidays. Don't y'all forget it. ♥

Oh Supernatural fandom, with the amount of butthurt comments and irrational arguments made with such hatred and idiocy, your wank this year is the most entertaining, amusing yet frightening and embarrassing all at the same time. Delicious wank is delicious, and I am enjoying the crazies going batshit and making themselves look foolish. Oh, when will fandom ever learn?

Looks like it's going to be the year for Alice in Wonderland recreations, as the first will be Tim Burton's take in the upcoming film, which has been talked about nonstop, and the more intriguing SciFi Channel original miniseries Alice, which is a re-imagined modern version of the story. Created by those that made Tin Man, so it's bound to be awesome especially after watching the trailer. There's more though, since on IMDB there's also noting that Marilyn Manson's Phantasmagoria: The Visions of Lewis Carroll will also be out next year, and I don't know if there's movement on the American McGee's Alice movie at all. So yeah, next year is totally going to be a Lewis Carroll year, and I honestly am anticipating it actually. Though my favorite version would have to be Jan Švankmajer's Neco z Alenky. ibroketuesday was talking about freaky slightly traumatizing childhood movies, this could be considered one of those. Even though I didn't watch this when I was a kid, only discovered it a couple years ago, it certainly would've fit right up my alley back then.

Yes. I was a strange, strange child growing up. Probably explains my high tolerance for that kind of stuff now, especially horror films.

Speaking of, the new A Nightmare On Elm Street trailer is out, and GODDAMN IT LOOK GOOD! I'm a huge fan of Wes Craven's NOES movies (and by huge fan, I am completely addicted), but this is a re-imagining which I can deal with. While I still maintain that Robert Englund will always remain the best Freddy Kreuger, I can't wait to see how Jackie Earle Haley handles the role. Also? KATIE MOTHERFUCKING CASSIDY is in this, alongside Thomas Dekker. It is definitely a must-see for me. :D

++ Firstly, onlyechoes and secondstar? I got your Christmas cards! You guys are just so super sweet, just recieving them made me feel better as I'm gradually recovering from being sick. This is what this time of year does to me people, the blessing of the holiday spirit outweighs the curse of getting sick. Love you alls! ♥

++ I watched the first two episodes of Leverage, and I am really loving it. It's just a fun show! It's not exactly serious but it's not entirely quirky either; it's just a mixture of the right stuff to keep one interested. Well, me at least. So far I'm liking all the characters, especially Alec and Parker. There's also a good amount of subtext in this show, and what more do you need then a show about cons taking out other criminals and evil manipulating corporations? Srsly, my kind of show. Needless to say, I think I found another new fandom to add to the list. Like I need more than I already have, and need to catch up on!

So, hello to all the new folks I recently friended! Glad to have you and hopefully we'll get to knew each other better in the near future.

For a quick update on some of the things that's been going on, I've come to find a steady schedule for my daily workout and exercise activities. Normally I would make time to do them but now I have this system where I know what I'm going to do everyday of the week because of this schedule thing I have going on. But even though I know what I'm going to do it's different every time. Like, at a specific time I'd do like a 45-minute workout and then afterwards it can be whatever like tennis, yoga, walking around the block, whatever. Dancing is a must though. It's a have-to activity and I do it daily, whether I know it or not. It's second nature for me, to be honest. But this gets me all worked out and pumped and I feel awesome afterwards. I know most people don't like exercising and yes if you're new to it it'll hurt and make you feel exhausted, but I do encourage others out there to at least try and do something active once a day or once a week because once you get the hang of things it becomes a habit, and you feel amazing at the end of the day.

Other than that, I've been rewatching the BSG premiere (really, is anyone surprised?) I'm just so hyped up for this season. Sad it's the last one, but really very excited for what's coming up and what'll be revealed. I'm also just waiting for SPN and GG to return. Also, while I'm not in the Twilight fandom at all I feel like I want to the movie primarily because of the "sparkling vampires" description. It'll be full of LOLZ, fo'sure.

Working on the second part of my unpopular opinions, which will probably be up by tomorrow.
