Television has been kinda epic lately, sometimes I feel like I can barely keep up before s'ploding into squeeful fits. I mean hell, I wrote my incredibly epic meta-review for SPN just hours before the series finale of BSG aired, and after both those epic shows I can't fathom how much they have destroyed my brain. This is what worthwhile television does to me, rendering me speechless and incoherent when it does something right. And I know there are a wide of reactions to both, but mine is quite simple at the moment: frakking epic.

During the airing of the finale, two BSG-related promos came out. One for the telemovie, The Plan and Caprica, the spin-off series. Looking forward to both.

Know what I loved about SPN last week? It was the equivalent episode to what "Downloaded" is to S2 BSG, in a lot of different ways. I should really do a separate meta regarding the comparisons and contrasts of Angels and Cylons because really, the similarities are uncanny. I WILL CONTINUE WITH ME PARALLELING I DON'T CARE IT IS APPARENT AND VITAL TO MY INTERESTS! AND SIX/CASTIEL = HAWTNESS, F'REALS.

I have nothing else, except that Castiel/Misha Collins is love. Trufax. ♥

Hmm. It was. It was also, for me, the Powerless of SPN, in terms of shippiness. That episode of Heroes made me ship Mohinder/Sylar harder than ever, and after 4x16, my heart has exploded with love for Dean/Castiel.

Goodness, yes. I loved Dean/Castiel before, but 4.16 sealed that love indefinitely. With Castiel as well, as if I could love him even more than I already do. ♥

I have gone through such an evolution with this ship - first I shipped it because it was hot and I loved Castiel. Then 4x07 came along, and I was like, "Oh, wow," and began shipping in earnest; and then there was 4x16, and I was like "Oh wow," and I ship it so hard it's INSANE. Castiel loves Dean so much it hurts me, and Dean trusts him and can read him and just, oh God, they own my soul.

This was an amazing episode for Castiel. It took everything we've been seeing hints of and made it canon. I have never felt so gratified.

I know! I'm still like, whoa. Sometimes they just blow our minds and it takes a long while to recover, picking up those pieces in order to think properly. And I love them for it, too.

I am so looking forward to them! Caprica looks very interesting, and I know it won't be like BSG but the entire concept looks fascinating. And The Plan, from the Cylons' POV? YESPLZ! And is that Shelley Godfrey I see in that promo? YAY.

Yes. 4.16 was definitely a huge turning point in the story, and it can only get more astronomical from here. Rip my heart out, why doncha!

Oh, totally. I am very excited and psyched to see where they're going from here, because this direction is keeping me interested. Very interested. I predicted something like this would happen, but seeing it actually happen in my show? It's just beyond awesome.

I am still in awe over 4x16, I haven't had a ship I love treated so well since Farscape, and that means a lot to me because Farscape is amazing.

This episode is probably the bestest this season so far. I mean, it had everything I could've wanted when they brought back Castiel for this half of the season. Plus my shipper heart leap with joy with all the Dean/Castiel goodness. I love it. Keep it up, show.

Speaking of epicc-ness, have you seen the latest dollhouse yet?

i just ordered seasons 1-4 of BSG cos theyre going cheap and because i enjoyed the mini series. cant wait to watch this show, everyone raves about it!!

I DID! And it was SO FRAKKING AWESOME. I mean, I loved the show before, but that ep? Totally sealed everything for me. Dollhouse is turning on its arc and it's gonna be good, and I mean really good.

Yay! It is amazingly awesome, indeed. So epic. The miniseries and this finale are the bookends to an incredibly epic journey for these characters, the stories and the saga we all join with them. It is just phenomenal, and srsly if you enjoyed the miniseries you'll definitely love what's in store. Guaranteed.

/really needs to get down to watching SPN and making it her new obsession, dammit.
