My Comments: A little late to the party with the announcement of brand new shiny updated Funko Pops (of all the Serenity crew this time), I wanted to share another round of Firefly fanvids that I rediscovered and remembered from years ago, to give that sense of nostalgia once again. The first one is by heresluck, who I remember back during LJ created some fantastic fanvids from various fandoms. This one is my favorite in regards to Firefly, the song fits the tone and mood the vidder was going for, and it's just very beautifully done. The second fanvid is set to "Mal's Song", an iconic Firefly filk song. There had been various fanvids set to this, but this one really matches the scenes to the words of the song nicely.

I've really tried not to collect POPs but a fiend gave me one of the Firefly ones, either Jayne or Kaylee so I wound up buying all of that first set. I dont think I need all of this new round but I definitely want to finish the crew and get the Kaylee with a parasol.

It's my favorite Firefly filk song. I have both versions (the live one and the studio one) and it's been on rotation for years. :)

Admittedly I have a lot of Funko Pops, although I only have gotten ones from the fandoms/interests I'm into, and I haven't bought any in quite some time. I remember getting the first batch of Firefly Pops when it was released years ago, and kept waiting and waiting for the rest. Now with this announcement with a revamped version featuring everyone, I'm definitely going to be getting those.

Now if they would do the same for BSG.....
