Let's go raid some tombs.

++ So, Stitchers has been cancelled, apparently due to low ratings, the lowest on the network it seems. I'm sad, but not surprised. I'll miss Allison Scagliotti as Camille the most since not only did she deliver the best sassy zingers but she also played an openly bisexual character who was unashamed of her sexuality. That was probably the best thing that came out of the third season, to be perfectly honest.

++ Speaking of, there is now a petition going around which has gotten some attention for the DCEU to have Diana be bisexual in the Wonder Woman sequel and future films, since it's been confirmed that she is in the comics. I don't know whether the studios will allow it, but it would be fantastic if Patty Jenkins could at least try to make it happen in the second film.

++ There is finally an official trailer for the new Tomb Raider film starring Alicia Vikander. This will be based on the 2013 game that rebooted the video game franchise, telling the origins of how Lara Croft became the legendary tomb raider we know her as. Being a fan of the entire Tomb Raider franchise I'm really excited for this film. Just watching the behind the scenes alone has me incredibly hyped for what we'll be seeing on the big screen. I love the games, I loved Angelina Jolie as Lara Croft in the previous two films and I know that I'll love Alicia Vikander as Lara Croft in this new film. Just as long as they do right by Lara as a character, I'm all good.

It's going to be strange to watch a Tomb Raider reboot without Angelina Jolie, but I want to see it. I was thinking lately that the good old action/adventure genre has turned into the action-full-point genre. The Hooten and the Lady TV show was great, but it got cancelled after one season, so Tomb Raider has good timing.

I caught the first Tomb Raider on television the other day and it reminded me how much I loved those films, and Angelina as Lara Croft. Ah, the early 00s were such a gem.

I'm really looking forward to the new film. I played the 2013 Tomb Raider game (that I still need to finish, lol) and I like that the film is going in that direction of an origin story. I also really liked that we saw a bit of homage to the classic Tomb Raider series/Angelina's Lara with her in the braid at the end of the trailer. I want this film to be good, but I know that regardless I'll love it either way because Lara Croft! Tomb Raider! :D
