The Battle of the Fangirl Feels

++ I now have a new laptop, because my old one was overheating and causing problems. It lasted a good long while though, and had gone through many of its own issues over that time, so it was time to see it go. Everything from my old hard drive is saved, and I'm just trying to grow accustomed to how new everything is, and hoping everything works with no glitches, before I transfer things over.

++ Peter Jackson has changed the last Hobbit film title from There And Back Again to The Battle of the Five Armies. At first I wasn't sure how to feel about this decision, considering how late in the game it seems to want to rename a title after having it be official for so long. But after thinking about it and digesting it for a bit, I'm actually rather okay with it? It doesn't really change anything about what happens in the film itself, and PJ even mentions that TABA will be given to the entire boxset of The Hobbit trilogy, which makes more sense since it encompasses the entire story (as it's meant to) rather than a singular movie.

In general, I'm just in denial about the actual BOFA, and to have it be the title of the movie means I'll be reminded of everything that inevitably happens and it makes me sad and dreading this December. And I'm not ready for that, not yet. I probably will never be ready for what's to come, honestly. I'll just bask in the first two films and all the fix-its for as long as I possibly can until then, tyvm.

++ Speaking of, I have the LEGO The Hobbit video game and, holy shit guys, this game is absolutely amazing. It's super cute and fun and hilarious. And the little buddy system thing they have in the game is like, whatever you ship, you can literally have them hold hands and frolic about. AND THORIN YOU PERVY LIL SHIT I CANNOT WITH YOU JUST OMG. I love this game, sfm. ♥

A new laptop, yay! I'm saving up for one myself. What kind did you get?

LEGO Hobbit, gah!! I love those LEGO games!! I'm addicted to the Batman ones. ;) I'll have to try the Hobbit one now too.

I got a Lenovo. It's the only one that we were looking at (that was within reasonable price) that has a large storage space, which is something I need. So far, it works great. I just have to get used to the entire setup, including Windows 8 since I'm used to using Windows XP for the longest time.

LEGO games are super fun and cute. And perhaps I'm biased, but the LEGO Hobbit is the best one I've played so far. Even when compared to the LEGO LOTR, which is saying something because I loved the LOTR game. :D

Tbh, BOFA is a more logical title (and somehow in my head I always called the movie that, before I knew it'd be called TABA, lol!) but of course.. the feels, why don't you rub it in, PJ D= I love that the trilogy would be called TABA though!

For me it was a bit jarring since I've been referring to it as TABA for so long. But I agree, it sorta makes sense, even though now it's basically an advertisement for all the pain we'll be suffering, lol.

New laptop, shiny! :)
Glad all your data is safe.

It's the one thing I'm concerned about, honestly. I have so much information that if it were to be lost, idk what I'd do.

(I have a huge hard drive from my own desktop computer from years ago that I have yet to retrieve the information from, and idk if I'll be able to. ;__;)

Yeah, when my PC was having issues, data was my biggest concern too. I have everything backed up on 2 hard drives.

(Good luck with it, when you get around to it.)

I'm genuinely dreading the last movie too, I am. I'm going to watch it knowing that it will be awful, and that I will be sad.

And now I want to play the LEGO Hobbit game. It's not even that expensive. I want to see a LEGO!Dragon.

There's one moment that I'm hopeful about, which is the Mithril shirt scene. Aside from that, yeah, everything in the third film is going to be heavy with so much emotion I don't know what I'm gonna do with myself. I'm going to be a blubbering mess in the theater, I just know it.

You should totally get it, you will not be disappointed. It's silly fun and entertaining, and you'll waste hours just goofing around. :D

I prefer the title "There and Back Again". It doesn't imply he hasn't already arrived there; it's about being there and coming back, which ties into the overall theme of the story; it includes more than just the Battle of the Five Armies; and it's the title of Bilbo's book, which should be the ultimate endgoal of the movie.

I'm going to probably say this until they manage to make laptops thermally efficient which given that they haven't yet means a very long time, but a laptop cooling pad/fan is probably one of the best things you can get to extend your laptop's life. Also, if your laptop is the same OS as the previous one/you want to use the same OS, you can just image your current hard drive and boot from the image on your new computer.

The move does kind of make sense from a story POV, since in that chapter of the movie (aside from dealing with Smaug) the big event that they run towards is the battle of the five armies, and Thorin's death and etc.
