Fandomosity: Eliza Dushku, Big Damn Heroes, Doctor Who, Fandom Articles

Happy Friday, June 9th everyone! Wishing all the best and shiniest day and a wonderful weekend! Also a reminder for those people watching the first season of the 2005 Doctor Who series shown on the SciFi Channel, the finale airs tonight. Eeek! *gets tape ready*

-♠- Eliza Dushku Visists Heritage Homeland: Our favorite rogue vampire slayer gal, Eliza Dushku, visits her father's homeland of Albania, which she's greeted warmly by the people there, and meets Prime Minister Agim Ceku of Kosovo. She also gets a tattoo of a double-headed eagle which is from Albania's national flag.

-♠- The Truth Is Out There: For all those Browncoats who watch The 4400, it's been reported that Summer Glau will be returning for the role of Tess in upcoming episode; spoilers within the article.

-♠- Cancelled Companions: In this interesting PopMatters article written by Jodie Janella Horn, she ponders why "interesting, innovative series that you adore and worship gets yanked before its time?". Inside this article it primarily focuses on Firefly and Wonderfalls, which I agree were two intriguing and captivating series that networks failed to understand their genius storytelling. It's an interesting and insightful read.

-♠- Nathan Smells Turnipy: Nathan Fillion and Alan Tudyk have been listed to be at London Film and Comic Con, among other celebrity lineups including Maggie Grace, Carrie Fisher, and Elijah Wood.

-♠- Kaylee Frye Speaks!: Jewel Staite updates her official blog from Costa Rica shooting her brand new movie. Lots of wacky fun she is having, and oh how much I adore her! ♥

Random Things About Today

♣ Aside from my little rantage yesterday (which was quite necessary, to say the least of my fannish-rage), this entire week went casually well; from the faux Devil's Day up to today, everything is running smoothly so far into summer vacation. I am just waiting until Monday, because that's when my dance class at the college starts up. I know, I keep going on about it, but I am really psyched about attending because I love dance; the movements, the routines, the people I get to converse with. It's a lovely thing that I'm getting ready for.

♣ GIP, because I adore Rose and it's Doctor Who night. Though I'm pissed that the SciFi Channel is deciding to air freaking wrestling instead of airing the second season. Because you know, wrestling is SO science fiction-based, right?

♣ Ayumi Hamasaki's brand new single, "BLUE BIRD", finally has a PV. It's very pretty and, while not a lot of choreography, I believe that's the entire point really. It's a summertime-based video, exploring the fun and simplicity of summer. Plus, Ayumi looks cute and she and her dancers look as though they're having fun. I love the stranded piece of land in the beginning, and her dress is amazing with it fluttering around her.

♣ In my personal critical opinion, Hersheys Kissables taste utterly foul. I guess I expected them to taste like M&M's, which that was setting my expectations a little high because I was disappointed.

♣ Wankage alert. So, apparently Stephen Colbert is hurting and poisoning America. Because, you know, political satire is really serious business, fo'shizzle? Remember kids, humor kills. Oh, as an unrelated-but-not-really topic, Stephen Colbert is on Whose Line Is It Anyway? right now. Hee!
