Spice up your life!

THE SPICE GIRLS ARE BACK, BITCHES! Yes, score! The rumors have been confirmed by the girls themselves, and the group is about to make their reunion tour. To say that I'm totally psyched about this would be an understatement. I mean, seriously, I've been waiting for this since like, for-freaking-ever! I loved the Spice Girls when they came out, was devastated that they were short-lived, however their status was such an impact and now this wonderful news. Sign me up, I'm there.

Oh, and this is proof of the many reasons why I love Zachary Quinto. Warning, the videos autoplay and the interview is about an hour long like every interview with him should be, but it's well worth it. *squees at the mention of Mylar*

The other day I was flipping through channels and stumbled across Zenon: Girl from the 21st Century airing on Disney Channel. Ah, brings back memories. Despite the bright-colored outdated clothes of the late '90s, medicore acting, horrible dialogue and overall corny and cheesiness of it, it's still a good light-hearted fun kind of movie. And yes, I'm not ashamed to admit that I have the studio version of "Supernova Girl" on my computer. I actually listened to it after watching it, actually, and it never gets old. I dare anyone to make a BSG fanvid to that. Also, am I the only one who automatically thinks that when Zenon says the infamous exclaimation "Zedis Lapedis", that she's actually saying "Zedis la Penis"? Or is that just me and my gutter mind?

who is Myler?

Mylar is the comination of Mohinder and Sylar for those who pair them off together. Mohinder/Sylar = Mylar.

I suppose that could be hot. haha. I've never thought of them in that way. :D

Well, it's all in the subtext between the characters really. Basically, any chemistry or subtextiness between any character on the show is going to be paired off one way or another by someone in fandom, and the Mohinder/Sylar is just the starting point. There's LOTS of HoYays in Heroes, let me tell you (Mohinder/Sylar, Nathan/Peter, Peter/Mohinder, Bennet/Matt, the list goes on) ;)

oh, that reminds me. someone had posted a while back a fan's guide to slash for Heroes characters. I don't remember what I did with it.

Heh, I have no doubt there has been gazillions several written. With Heroes, the HoYay cannot be denied even with the subtle subtext.

who is Hoyay? Hiro? and who? haha

HoYay = homoeroticism yay! The term is used when there's chemistry/subtext between two same-sex characters in any fandom. It's now a very popular fandom term, and widely used on TWoP.

oh wow. I must be so out of the loop. haha. thanks for getting me up to date on these terms. anything else I should know?

[identity profile] rogueslayer452.livejournal.com 2007-07-04 08:38 pm (UTC)(link)
That depends on how "out of the loop" you are. For future references, I think you'll find The Fanfiction Glossary (http://www.subreality.com/glossary/terms.htm) quite helpful. It has definitions of certain fandom terms and is constantly being updated. :)
