OH, YAYY! :D I AM SO HAPPY! Seriously, I'm so happy that you're finally watching it. Not only because I love the show so much, but it's just awesome scifi all around. The first season is a bit slower than the rest of the show since it focuses more on the mystery/noir build-up, but it still moves quite steadily that it still keeps you engaged with it and it is a great introduction to the characters and the world-building. But seriously, if you loved BSG this will definitely fill that BSG-shaped hole in your heart. It is quite a space opera, and you're in for quite a ride. :D
