I didn't even notice the gender role reversal at first, but now that you mention it I completely see it, especially from the way the main character interacts with others which is very similar to how most male-led shows often do. The whole emotionally disconnected yet genius aspect has often been played at with the men, but never with women, particularly with lead roles. And of course with Allison being the equally as intelligent bantering sidekick, it makes me want more of that in general really.
