Dean needed someone, a person who doesn't constantly remind him of his brother (it could have been anyone) and all the things he lost, not to mention he was fulfilling a promise. Stupid promise -his brother's death wish- obviously but so it goes.
I'm sure Dean needed some kind of stability, something that would take his mind off of everything that happened, but they could have done it differently. Dean wasn't in the right headspace to head in that direction of someone like Lisa, who he hadn't seen or mentioned or thought of in years, and he certainly shouldn't have dropped all his emotional baggage on her front doorstep (much less her accepting him after all this time, making us believe she was waiting all that time because well, it's not like she has a life or anything like that at all!) Dean needed to get away, but he could have done it himself on his own self-discovery than going to someone else. I'm sure that shows his own abandonment problems, but I thought they were progressing with these characters instead of making them go back to their self-destructive states.
Of course you already know my stance in all of this, as this post demonstrated. I know you have no problems with Dean and Lisa together, however I have huge issues with it. Especially with how it was handled this season and how it got started in the first place because it was just a random stupid thing to add into the mix. But I'm done ranting about it.
Though I will agree, I hope that in that upcoming episode that features Lisa and Ben will be the last time WITHOUT killing them. Granted they destroyed Lisa's character entirely, but it's the least they could do without making me rage anymore than I already am.
