I would think that God or Castiel or whoever was generous enough to let his soul be at peace, because after everything he had done his part. He deserves that at least of all he'd given up and sacrificed, don'tcha think?

Dude, this is what I'm hoping will happen, because it's just so perfect and right for their individual journeys to mesh together in such a way to make everything right again. I've actually been wanting Sam to control his powers and use them for good for quite some time now, and Dean reaching out and knowing the beauty of life and wanting it to show to Castiel? Oh man, that would be epic and not just in the slashy/shippy way either, but it would mean both boys have grown from all they've suffered from over the years. :D :D :D
